following all the good reviews i'm very tempted to pick up a Erik Buell Racing ecu next time i'm in the US, and my question is ( and probably stupid) once fitted if i take the bike to a UK dealer and they reflash it will it be over written? i have emailed Erik Buell Racing and asked this question but obviously they are very busy and i haven't got an answer, so thought i'd ask here. thanks in advance. Yes it will, if I were you I would swap it out before you take it to the dealer for anything. |

so once i have the new ecu i cant get anymore updates? unless Erik Buell Racing do them? i assume that the Erik Buell Racing one is as good as its going to get then, and just hope no others problems surface... thanks all Wkd1 |

No the ebr ecm is a physical ecm. You swap your stock one out. Just swap it back when you go to the dealer. |

I doubt any UK dealer would fash a Race ECM - I'm not even sure if they could as they're "locked" (unless you're buying the unlocked version). Definately swap back to a stock ECM for trips to the dealer... |

Jules.....they are not locked. All Buell ECMs inc E_B_R_ ones can be flashed. I have been adjusting mine and my brother's for weeks now using free software available on the net. |
