slypiranna, Did you paint your frame and swing arm? or are those covers that go over the frame and swing arm? That looks really good! |

Dktechguy112, Yes...I knew the day I first laid eyes on this bike, it had to be black, all black. I stripped it in fall of 08 to pour on the recolor. Wet Scotchbrited (red...is...perfect) the 08's blue powdercoat, dryed, wiped down with wax and grease remover then SHOT! No primer and/or sealer used. Catalyzed Gloss Black Auto Single Shot with nearly a full quart of dulling agent (took many times to finally get the look)...once wetsanded and buffed, matched the stock plastics couldy~ness perfect. There is NO clear on this example. To this day, the frame and swingarm look awesome. Wish I could say the same of the plastics! Lol! I paid over $300.00 for raw supplies back then...not counting labor. I'd estimate you'd spend around $1500.00+ to a local paint shop that was capable of a professional job, materials and labor. |

If you have a NEW frame (hasn't had fuel in it yet) I'd get it powdercoated. After I painted my chassis, we started dealing with a small company in Florida that would have powdercoated it for nearly the amount of the paint and materials cost! |

Update! Due to the many emails and calls, we've decided to take this project to market. That being said, I attempted to purchase ad space here on BadWeb...but have not been able to be approved and our time line has expired. For this reason and many more, we will continue to invest in other areas of the internet. My best regards and wishes to the entire BadWeb Team, Buell owners, testers and tuners and all the great friends I've come to know! I'm sure we'll meet again! ...Montgomery Markel |
