Can't stand my 08 1125r. I love the bike when it's working but I'm going to trade tomorrow...

*dealer has a 2010 Firebolt w/d&d exhaust 1000 miles.

*dealer also has a 2010 1125cr 1500 miles.

... I test rode them both. They are both sweet. Firebolt seems weak after riding the 1125 for so long. I just don't want problems. I realize i'm in the 1125 thread, but whatchu guys think?

Go for whatever calls you more. I have both XB's and 1125's, and like the 1125's more

What kind of problems have you had? Your profile only mentions a fuel pump.

If your not happy with the 1125 im not so sure you should try another. The Firebolt is an excellent bike as well. When I ride my XB the first thing I notice is how much easier it is to run through low speed corners. I rarely even think about it having less power. I think you should try the Firebolt.

I have both XB and 1125 so believe me when I say stick with the 1125's. My XB is fun but it feels like a turd after being on the 1125. Even if your roads are nothing but tight little switch backs and couldnt even hit the rev limiter on a blast I would still say go with the 1125 because they handle better.

I have a tuber (Cyclone) and a CR....The CR is a ton more fun hands down.

I bought the Erik Buell Racing race ECM, if fixed all the low speed issues. It seriously completely changed the whole character of the bike, it is so much easier to ride.

No reliability issues as of yet with 2500 miles.

I love this bike.

Froggy,

My 08 1125R has been a nightmare. The bike broke down 4 times in traffic. 3 of those times I needed a tow. Fuel pump failure (replaced), two separate turn signal failures (replaced), two similar clutch failures (clutch fluid was leaking out internally), battery failure (replaced), brake rotor warped (replaced), Multiple recalls, multiple updates. Now my low fuel light isn't working.

I love the bike.... when it's working. Maybe they worked out the kinks in the 2010 models. Maybe I shouldn't take the risk and go with the firebolt. It's a hard decision for me.

I'm very excited today, I will bring home another Buell... hope I make the right decision

I, like Pete, had a tuber M2 and a '09 CR. The tuber is now gone (rock solid bike) and the CR shares the garage with a few other bikes (super X and FJR).

I have always liked a sport bike in the mix and don't worry about the CR much. It has been great for the 1100 miles I have drove it.

I can't see me going back to an air cooled buell. That's just where it's at for me right now. I like going in new directions and going 'back' to a air cooled buell would be a step back, not forward.

Forward next for me is going to be a KTM adventure, but that is a few years out.

The deal is done. They traded me straight across - 08 1125r for this 2010 1125cr.

It's amazing. The only thing that I would change is the black tail... it looks a little funny to me
