Here is what you get to do to work on the 1125 motor,I was redoing valve timing, very labor intensive.

since you seem to have a lot of experience taking the 1125 apart, mind if i ask for some advice? I have a hole in my frame, and i am going to change it out this summer. Any advice for me? I am trying to figure out the best way to take things apart. And I'm trying to figure out what specialty tools i will need. |

To remove the frame--no specialty tools needed. You have rear axle removal tool as you need to loosen that. You can leave a whole bunch of stuff attached to the engine/swingarm assembly. Just leave that assembly on lift, well braced, and take the tailsection off, front forks and wheel, then lift off frame. |

I was told by someone that has been in these engines that they saw a huge variance in the cam timing from the factory. Just wondering what you found with yours, I'm thinking about checking mine and would also like to know what seems to work the best. |
