I could be wrong but in another thread I think A-S-B Al mentioned doing it this weekend at Infineon? |

JT&S is located at the track, I think. The emails I received indicated that testing will commence on Monday, following the races. Erik Buell Racing "might" be operating either near or out of that location for the race. It was my understanding that they (Erik Buell Racing) may also assist with the shootout, but I don't know that for fact. |

This will be interesting. Whoever wins the HP wars is probably gonna get more orders than they can handle! I was thinking about getting a Barker but I'm definitely curious to see how all the different makes stack up to one another.. |

If all you care about is max peak HP then a set of proper length straight pipes is all you need. Consideration of how you ride versus the power curve offered by each exhaust will dictate which exhaust is best for each rider. And then there is the noise factor.

Its not about power with about 98% of riders, its all about the NOISE. |

We're at the track now preparing for the test. I'll post more in the shootout thread. Al |

For me its about the looks and sound, not the noise. Hell the stock pipe is too loud. |

Yup, David and I rotated the motor on his CR this afternoon--which he has generously donated as a test mule---and installed a set of pipes with additional O2 bungs for our wideband sensors. All done and ready for the testing to begin! |

What wideband setup are you using? |

Hah, yeah.. well it's not EVERYTHING. Straight pipes would be way too loud for me. I just can't decide between FMF/HMF/Barker/Keda/Jardine/etc from youtube vids. So I'm waiting for the deciding factor. (Message edited by lucky_jim on May 16, 2010) |

Watching the various system/slip-ons develop, I'm very happy with my Drummer. I lusted over the Free Spirits kit until a few days ago, when I finally heard one in person. pfffffft. Honestly, if I was in the market, I'd get one of Dean's creations. The only other contender in my eyes was Dris & Bud's Torque Hammer. I'm quite happy with Loretta's power, strong and very smooth. Consideration of how you ride versus the power curve offered by each exhaust will dictate which exhaust is best for each rider. And then there is the noise factor. I agree completely...there is so much more involved than just peak HP numbers on the performance side. As far as sound quality is concerned, that is so subjective any one exhaust can give you several opinions. I am looking forward to the test results though |
