Hey all, I've been hearing about the pump gas ECM from Erik Buell Racing. I sent them an email asking some questions but had no reply. I'm wondering if this is a sign of things to come. Anyway, I'm wondering if those of you that got one can give me some reviews. I need details please. Don't just tell he it's great, I need to know if it changes the throttle response at low to mid range. Is the power band shifted or beefed up through the whole RPM range. I heard some people had the idle lowered. Does this adversely effect the response? The reason I'm concerned is that someone here posted a bunch of dyno runs with the Erik Buell Racing ECM and they all looked worse than the stock results. I would like to know how it feels rather than how it looks on a dyno chart. Thanks Peter |

I have not dyno'd mine yet, but it feels stronger. Been riding my new Uly lately as it's time for the 25k service on Loretta. Don't know what to tell you other than I am VERY happy with the ECM. I am thinking of sending it back to Mike to have the fuel reduced on throttle-off, I miss my engine braking a little. Then again, I may leave it and use my front brake more. I like the lower idle rpm, sounds awesome with my Drummer. What sealed it for me was the end of flashing COLD while warming up. Money very well spent IMO. Zack |

If I get the programmable Erik Buell Racing ECM I'm going to guess I shouldn't need anything else. No Power Commander V or if used what would the benefits be? Or should I get the pump gas non-programmable ECM and call it a day? I know with the programmable ECM I need to get it tuned but I'm able to change the tune anytime but doubt it's going to need changing that often to justify the cost. Any thoughts? Thanks |

If you want to work with Erik Buell Racing, just have patience with them. I received this from Erik Buell Racing on May 8th. Their ECMs should be in very soon. I couldn't wait though - hit the dealer today for the latest ECM update and have an appt to get the TM flash. >Bob, >We expect to have more ECMs in one weeks time. >Thanks, >Michael Richter |

Zac, if it doesn't flash "Cold", what does it do? Just curious ... It usually takes me that long to get my helmet on and everything else situated! Mike |

x1 you get the actually temp as it rises...be it 75 degrees or 175 degrees. no "cold "just the temp the coolant is actually at. |

Funny, Takes me about the same time, Jacket all zipped up, check, Helmet strapped on tight, check, Gloves, check. Cold gone. |
