A locksmith once told me that many people add loads of locks and security to a door but forget that the hinges are likely to be the really weak spot for a break in!! Well I feel like this with the 1125. Greatly improved front lights over the XBs but a really small rear light for modern traffic conditions and in mist or fog. Any one know of a larger but good fitting rear lamp for a 1125??

Not larger but much, much brighter:

The XBLights offerings are insanely bright. And offer a flasher module now. If you're concerned about being seen, go with the full board light and a flasher. It's an insane combo for being seen.

You can go with the 2010 CR Taillight as well. It's $54 and very bright compared to stock. Also if you add a couple of strip lights to either side of your license plate that will increase visibility as well.

+1 for the XBlights tail light. I have one on my R and I'm told it is bright even during the day.

Would have loved to have gotten the XBLights tail ... haven't seen one in person but they look über bright.

I compromised and got the 2010 LED lamp and it works well for me — it's definitely brighter than the 2008/9 units.

So ...

With my hardbags I added LEDs to them plus have the turnsignals operating as running lights:

This is in daylight, at night there is no mistaking that there is something running down the road! I also added Kisan Tailblazar to the brake lights. With LEDs it's almost like a strobe since they can flash so quick. The Tailblazar has "expoential" decay to full on in less than 5s.

On my 12r I did something similar:

What hardbags are those, and do they interfere with having a passenger?

Where can I buy this light?

I have option 3.

Email Robert and ask about the flasher module - I have one and am VERY happy with it.

The install is quite literally a 5 minute job. Unscrew two screws holding the old lamp, change the wires over (they plug into the spades on the new light), screw the assembly back in.

And then prepare to be blinded.

I have the first 1125 light Robert made(over 2 years old now), integrated turn/stop/run with 10 white down-firing LEDs for the plate, clear lens.
Build quality is some of the highest I've ever seen.

I STRONGLY recommend his work.

HID lo-beams in front, XBLights in the rear.
