Wish the weather would clear up enough to go riding here. Sigh, we had a taste of the 70's 2 weeks ago. |

Man this ECM is the best mod I did to my bike tied with my RT-1 exhaust now it sounds awesome and has perfect fuel delivery now. |

Jackgraves, is the ECM setup for stock or for the RT-1 or any other changes like filter? I'm interested in Dean's Rt-1 myself and the Erik Buell Racing ECM. I like the RT-3 but it's too loud for me. Too bad they hadn't come stock equipped with that ECM. |

I don't think they could equip the ebr ecm stock because of epa regulations. They already had to put the noid on there to get it to pass epa noise, i doubt the ebr ecm would pass epa emissions. That's why it says, "for race use only" on the ecm. I am looking at getting an ebr ecm, but i have a cali bike, and from what i understand my exhaust has a cat converter, and it won't work with the ebr ecm. So i guess my only option is to get a non cali stock exhaust, or any aftermarket exhaust. |

Send Erik Buell Racing an email, mention your Cali bike, how you want to run the stock pipe with cat and such, and see if they have a solution for you. If you are worried about smog testing, throw the stock ECM back on for the test and then go back to the race one for the rest of your riding. (On the track of course ) |

They must work with Cali bikes if what Arcticcr says is true. 09-10 all had cats, only 49 state bikes in 08 didn't. If the bulge at the front of the muffler is SS, not black, it has a cat. Makes sense, don't know for sure. Z |

Palrider I have RT1, and K&N filter it is a right off the shelf ECM I just told them it was a June 2008. It used to shut off riding it like hitting the kill switch or shut down revving it at a stop light or moving, sometimes shut down as soon as I started it, would idle for like 5 seconds and die that problem is gone. Now it starts up and once warm it has a nice steady lope at idle, idle is around 1100-1200 steady. I can talk to my wife or son now while getting my gear on and the bike warms up, before we had to scream at each other while it was running. It is just a much better bike now. Yes Palrider they should have had this ECM stock. |
