I called the dealer where I bought my 09 1125R and asked about getting an appt. for the wiring harness fix. They were nice enough but they admitted they didn't have any parts in stock and had never done one. Now I'm a little worried that maybe I should find another dealer who has actually done one..but they haven't actually done anything wrong yet. Does anybody have a suggestion ? Should I just chill out and let them go for it, or should I be worried and try to find another dealer even though they may be farther away. Thanks. | ||

Find another dealer. If they mess it up you're bike could run pretty bad and you'll have to go to another dealer to fix it. Nothing wrong with it and I'm sure your dealer wouldn't blame you one bit. | ||

Carolina Harley would be my first choice. Then call Tillys HD in Statesville. | ||

Holling..actually Carolina HD is where I bought it and they haven't done any of the upgrades yet. I'm gonna call Tilley and see if they some experience. I'm also gonna try and talk to the 'Buell guy' at Carolina HD and see if he can instill any confidence in me. | ||

I used to do my service at Carolina. Long story, but all my service work now goes to Tilley's. | ||

+1 on Tilleys. They were a good group of people when I was looking to test the 12r and 25r. Never had any service experience but they are a good group. | ||

Thunder Tower in Elgin, SC (about 90 miles south of you) apparently has the harnesses in stock. I called about mine, got an appointment on the following Saturday, and they did it while I waited. | ||

another good place if you like a nice ride there and back is Crossroads in Wilkesboro, NC. They are very Buell friendly and have salespeople and techs that ride Buells. |
