I have read that filling the bars with lead shot eliminates vibration. I thought about using the rubber plugs from wine bottles. Does anyone think this will work, or is lead shot the best way to go? |

Lead is much heavier. Make sure it's contained with a plastic bag or something, otherwise it can potentially get into the switch gear and short something out. You can also go with Throttlemeister bar ends - they're *heavy* buggers. The rubber plugs won't affect it much if at all - it's weight that matters. Lead shot being slightly loose to move around also helps absorb the vibration, as it's essentially a deadblow hammer type setup. |

Switching to a thicker rubber/gel/foam handgrip might do just as much and be even easier. |

I do have thicker grips--but still got severe numbing--especially throttle side. |

The Throttlemeister's do the same and, give you a throttle lock to boot. About the same price, depending on model, and VERY well made. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/522760.html I've used the TM for over 250,000 miles. Later Neil S. |

Do these take care of the shaking mirrors? The handle bar buzz I tolerate, But I would like to "see" whats in the mirrors! |

I don't notice any vibration in the handle bars but the mirrors are pretty useless. |

I noticed that with the highbars there was a lot of hand numbing vibration. I put the clubman bars on and got the latest flash and the vibration is a lot less noticable. I also got a crampbuster that helps out a lot. I ordered bar ends from HVM but they havn't arrived yet. |

I did not notice any Vibration on mine or my brother's 1125R but I put on custom made really heavy weights from Twinmotorcycles in Netherlands for protection reasons......I really don't feel any vibes before or after. |

Mentioning the latest flash--I really did not have this extreme numbing problem before I had the 620/harness service on my R. That was with stock grips and bars too; I mean there was vibes, but nothing to totally numb my hand. I switched to the 1" bars and thicker grips afterwards and still got numbing. So, I need to check the code, cause the tech had problems at first and wiped out the ECM. He was able to reset it, but no code is noted on the receipt. |

I haven't had a vibe problem on my CR with the rizoma bars. The conical shape helps kill vibes by their design. I have not needed anything more. The lead shot will change the rez freqency down lower which can help. It's also a cheap item to try, won't impact anything on the bike, and can be taken out in about 5 min. I would suggest smaller shot rather than buckshot. There is also this: http://www.barsnake.com/ That does the same thing as the lead shot, more or less. Handlebar vibration is a very tricky subject handle since bikes vary so much between brands and even the same model. What works on yours might not work on others. |

+1 Kirb on the shot size. I put 4.5 ounces of #6 birdshot in each bar, in a heavy ziplock. Works like a dead-blow hammer to absorb the "buzz", Zack |
