I am putting on the highbar kit, my next task is going to be to change out the throttle cables, to those of you that have done this, where did you route your throttle cables? I have read to keep them parallel, but is there a specific way you routed them? Also, when adjusting the cables, i get the steps 1-3 in the service manual, but in step 4 they say "turn adjuster on throttle cable(4) until throttle cam stop touches stop plate. tighten cable adjuster lock(1) on the throttle control cable adjuster; release throttle control grip." what is the throttle cam stop and stop plate? and step 5: "turn the handlebars fully to the right. turn adjuster on idle control cable (3) until end of cable housing just touches the cable guide. what do they mean by cable housing and cable guide? |

I routed mine down the fork under the triple tree. I tried other ways mentioned but they kept binding. I read this in another post somewhere. Thanks to whoever mentioned this. |

when you say you routed it under the triple tree, do you mean under the bottom triple tree, or in between the two? The stock cables are along the fork and go right above the bottom triple tree. |
