...a 200 mile ride to visit my CR which is stuck at the nearest dealer awaitin...the harness.... I had also complained about my weird clutch engagement (practically lose the clutch when hot)...no fluid loss, no air in lines...felt like warped plates, but there was hardly any abuse of them. Well kudos to the owner Steve or S&P in Williamstown for diagnosing and fixing the problem. Turns out the vent port had not been drilled through completely and prevented the 'back side' of the vacuum diaphragm (atmosphere side) from drawing air in. Here's a pic of the port: well, I got to do a dozen-twenty miles and put her back into the shop at the dealership and ride another 120 miles home.... related post: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/507962.html?1257477051 (Message edited by sekalilgai on April 17, 2010) |

I recently talked with some really smart people at EBR they told me that the problem is when the diaphragm seals just inside that machined groove in the red circle. They extend the groove inward so the diaphragm won't be able to seal there where the groove stops. Might want to extend the groove if the bike is still apart. |
