Another newbie question, sorry. The few times I have shifted to neutral while moving and released the clutch lever I get a weird vibration. Will this hurt the bike? can someone explain to me what is happening in the clutch/gearbox? |

what kind of vibration? you should be able to let the clutch out in neutral when moving. |

It kinda feels like the clutch plates or something are barely rubbing together. It is barely noticeable... I just feel it in the foot pegs and there is no sound involved. It is definitely tied to actual velocity as it slows down as the bike comes to a stop. Seems like it is more prominent in the left peg. Doesn't seem like it causes any drag and when the bike is stopped in neutral with the clutch released it is completely gone. |

Painless, only in neutral when I am moving and let out on the clutch lever as far as I can tell. |

They do make some weird noises, I know when my R was new I rode it to a seasoned dirtbike friend. He sat on it started it up, tried to blip the throttle like a dirt bike. Held the throttle a little open and stared at the tach with some puzzled looks, tapped the thing into first and idled off a little and said,"Wow! A Dry Clutch! Thats Cool~" I just said ,"yeh,, yeh" |
