hey guys, i have a bit of a problem on my way home from work today, i stopped to fill up with gas. after filling with gas, i went to start the bike. it cranked over 2 times and then instead of running, it stopped cranking. now it wont crank over, like if the kill switch is on, even though its not. also, the headlights arent on, but the running lights are on. also, the brake lights wont come on, just the tail light( squeeze brakes and doesnt get brighter). also, one time i turned the key on, the instrument cluster showed an "1ac error" for about 3 seconds, then back to normal. needless to say i had to get it towed home and catch a ride. any one have this problem? any one know what to do? anyone know if it will be covered under warranty? |

Make sure the battery connections are tight. Otherwise, may be the stator going south. |

From what I understand the electrical system on the 1125 is designed to limit the draw in case of low voltage at startup. So check your connections and Batt. voltage |

Sounds to me like a problem with the ignition switch - sounds like park mode is turning on instead of the actual ignition.... If you're still within your warranty I don't see a reason why it won't be covered... And I'm pretty sure a couple of people have had to have their ignition switch replaced for similar problems |

at the end of the last fall, i had to tear my ignition switch appart and fix a wire that had pulled out of its connector. would have taken it in to the dealer, but they never call me back when i call to set up an appointment. |

thanks for all the replies guys! i fixed it, and managed to fix it. The culprit was another broken wire at the base of the ignition switch plug. had to pull the switch apart and solder on a half inch extention. i probably should have just lengthened them all to avoid it happening again. |
