The 2010 LED tail light is close to a plug n play on a 2008. Cut the 2010 connector off, put some spade lugs on, a little heatshrink and it will plug right into the stock connectors. I put a piece of dense foam tape where the bulge is for the old firebolt/license plate light. $57 retail, $51.30 with discount. Way nicer and bright.

Can I ask where you ordered the light from? Looks great! |

Any Buell dealer should be able to get one for ya, they're an original part for a 2010 and not an accessory so they're still out there. I did the same install on my CR and I love it! One thing I did, though, was zip tie the connector bundle to the rear subframe crossmember. I had the tail section off when I did mine, so I could get to it easily, but I like to avoid big heavy things bouncing and rattling around whenever possible. Especially if they're electrical |

In stock here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17384.html and http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17383.html OR, if you want us to build it up complete as described in this thread, http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A17383.html They're in stock. They're OK, but frankly, the 16137 with a 9036 clear lens is a pretty easy install and much brighter. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16137.html Al Al |

If anyone wants one of the attached license-plate lights, let me know. I bought one and don't need it. Highly recommend the LED tail light, though; it looks *much* better with the clear lens turn signals. KeS |

Ratbuell, I did exactly what you said with the zip ties after I took the tail plastic off to check my sub harness install. The aluminum subframe even has holes back there for zip ties like they knew they would be used for just that purpose. Al, check your website the description is a little weird, it reads tail light but below it reads headlight grill. A17383 - Tail Light Assy, LED, 2010 XB/1125, OEM 03-10 Headlight Grille, XB-S and Ulysses, OEM Price: $82.00 |
