Before it was very thirsty......but it only had 1000 miles on it.its improving with use. I would like a slower idle and 1125R speedo calculations. But the ECM is generally great. Not much use of fans for example is nice. I have a std ecm to test and an EBR Race Pump petrol one to test too. The EBR race ecm has a nice idle but the fans stay on for a long time which drains the battery |

TPS reset I do every day but not every start. There must be a reason you say every time Easyrider!! What have you adjusted in the ECM that you don't want to make known? (Message edited by trafford on April 08, 2010) |

Trafford, when you measure the tps signal, you notice it change every turn of THE ignition, when doining this every time, you are 100% sure your bike runs every time the Same. When you dont do it it changes An can cause uncomfortable driving, nothing more nothing less |

Thanks for the info easyrider. When will you get time to sort out the idle speed and speedo adjustment? |

Working on it, speedo first, idle not sure off, oil pump, charging issues needs to be clear first. |

I have a battery monitor on my bike and the charging is perfect at all revs inc idle -08 1125R. And I run a heated jacket, a navigator, and heated grips. What issues are there with the oil pump? (Message edited by trafford on April 08, 2010) |

Traffordre, There is a relation between the amount of oil the engine needs (pupms around) and the RPM idle. We are trying to find out what the effect of low RPM is and the effect on the oil pump capacity. When we measured this and it is oke, we now 100% sure we can lower the RPM. |

Its not a problem that I can see as the Engine has a recommended idle of 1250 (in the workshop manual/handbook........this was the warm idle on my bike before I fitted your ECM and the EBR Ecm is set at 1200 on request so Buell must be saying its ok too also with fully synthetic oil the engine should be able to survive some minutes at idle without any oil at all.......don't ask me to test this!! The oil manufacturers do these tests. (Message edited by Trafford on April 09, 2010) |

Trafford, we are a little stubborn, we always measure our self and never believe what somebody else is saying (-: |

US gallons or Imperial? Also I never trust the IC I always take the mileage and gallons and do the math. |

Thats imperial - I live in Manchester , UK. Have just done the maths based on the trip there and this comes out the same as the IC. Sure it will drop after the bike is used for drag racing! |

On Sunday, i did a 150 mile round trip to take part in a round of the 'straightliners' drag race series at Elvington, near York (UK). I did three consistent runs, the best of which was 11.08 seconds at 126mph. 60 foot time was 1.8 seconds. I had problems keeping the front wheel down in second and third gears. And the clutch was used for each change. It's a long way off Littlebutquick's times but was good enough to beat a nearly new Honda Fireblade. In all it was a good day, just need more practice. And for information the bike returned 44mpg overall. |
