Just wanted to show off the new slip-on exhaust from Free Spirits. Very pleased so far. Feels more responsive and sounds really nice...

Hope it doesn't discolor in the first 3" of the can, like the other one has. I love the look of this exhaust, but for the price of it, that discoloration is unacceptable. (Message edited by Wastegate on March 03, 2010) |

Ridden 600 miles with exhaust.. No problems. I have no idea what was/is going on with the other guys bike to get it to discolor like it did. |

That was yours? Did you ever get in touch with Marcello from Free Spirits about that? |

It might run leaner (= hotter). I have no idea what was/is going on with the other guys bike to get it to discolor like it did. (Message edited by Xelerator on March 03, 2010) |

Rogo looks great man. Why did you decide to go with the slip on rather then the full system. I was thinking once you pay $1100 for the slip-on you could just as well bite the bullet and buy the full for $1900. Wastegate,..Dris of twinmotorcycles has told me they have a new version that does not discolor. I am almost ready to buy this thing. Pure bikepron. |

The guy I ride with has the full race system on his. It's nice but I thought it would be a little overkill for me. I think the race system is a little louder, but not much. They both give you a really great sound. I can't stress how nice the sound is... I did get a chance to talk to Marcello about the discoloration. He said they did extensive testing with the system. They were able to get it to discolor only by getting it hot enough to glow red. I'm guessing that's pretty hot. I would like to know Wastegate's story on the discoloration. Did it happen from just normal use? Is it possible the bike is running very lean?? |

It was not mine, somebody on BB. Post some videos so we can hear how nice it is. I still think this is the best looking exhaust for out bikes. (Message edited by Wastegate on March 03, 2010) |

From what I can see, there is no crossover between the pipes. Is that true? Has anyone seen dyno results yet? |

I'll try it get a video up soon of both the full system and the slip-on. I read that guys post on BB. He seems to have a lot of bend up anger with Free Spirits. I've never had a single problem with them. They have answered all my emails within a day. We did have a problem getting the kickstand to clear the exhaust so we shaved a little of a couple of the spacers and it worked fine. I contacted Marcello about that and he answered me within minutes. He said that some of the systems were packed with the wrong spacers and sent me a new set of spacers the next day. That's the kind of service I've got from them... |

I don't care if it's the best looking or made out of gold...$1100 is way too much for a slip on unless it's giving you 10hp with no tune needed. Just my honest opinion. |

I pretty much agree. I just can't justify spending that much just because it is pretty. If there is HP to be gained without any additional parts, that might be a different answer. |

Rogo please do post a clip. If you shoot higher quality you can send it to me and ill convert it to higher res then youtube and host it on my site. Guys,..from what i know Dris is the one making the map for FS for these pipes. So it will not run lean and i guess you'd be getting about as much HP as you can out of the system, |

I love this exhaust. If it was priced where the FMF is I would be all over it. As it stand though, much too expensive for me. |

$1100 is what I would think is a fair price for a really nice full system. Maybe not titanium, but some really nice metal nonetheless. Regardless, if you have the money and you like the exhaust, what the hell! Sometimes I forget that there are people for whom $1100 is pretty much pocket change. If I was one of them, I'd probably have an FMF full Ti system. |

It makes 134HP with your tune that you SELL for the $1100 pipe? That's a gain of around what...4HP to 8HP for $1100 + whatever you sell the tune for? Just not worth it IMHO. |

My Italian ain't too good but it looks to me like the ECM from Free Spirits (assuming it has Dris' tune on it) is 350 Euros. The only reason anyone buys this thing is because it looks good. |

Not loud at all... I'm going to work on getting a video up this weekend or next week. Guy I ride with has the FS full system on his. Going to get a video of both. |

It is louder and deeper... Not louder in a bad way... Last thing I wanted was a loud pipe. IMHO it's the perfect sound for this bike. Neither one us is rich... We didn't buy any beer for a couple of weeks so we could afford these. |

Well,..would love to hear it. If you can even do a drive-by would be great. Let me know when you have the video and ill compress it nicely so it doesn't loose quality and post. cheers |
