Would that be a "Troller coaster" in a "Trailer Park"? This thread is just rediculous now. (Message edited by dentguy on February 24, 2010) |

Baloney, yet another dishonest claim. Is anyone surprised? Nice way to edit your post and remove things that you quoted and lied about what I said. |

If the new guys are "trailer park" folks, I must be the guy "living in a van down by the river", 'cause I got my 1125R really, really cheap.........but hey, waterfront property is always in high demand around here....... |

I only edited the post within minutes of first posting to correct and improve its grammar and organization. I did not remove any content as you suggest. I did not lie. |

The quote below was edited after I pointed out that you were making up things that I said. Implying that an 1125 is not worth anything is a dishonest. Yet another obvious blatant lie. You apparently lie so much that you don't know when you are being dishonest. This used to say something along the lines that according to you, I said all 1125 owners would sell their bikes if they were worth anything. |

You know, When I joined this forum for the first time, there was a troll who claimed that he had spoken with mechanics at a Buell dealership, who told him they wouldn't ride one...of course all the mechanics were, according to the troll, riding Japanese bikes. As I recall, (my memory may be incorrect) but when he was exposed, he didn't even own a motorcycle. He was a nut job. My recollection anyway. I tried to be very welcoming last night to new members. I feel bad for you Mikezx9r, cause it sounds like you went out and spent a lot of money to fix something that wasn't broken....until you fixed it that is. I don't know why you thought your machine wasn't running properly. I don't know if you are an expert engineer, or a guy who thought the 1125R was supposed to toot the Popeye the Sailor song out of the exhaust, and you were trying to fix that. I will tell you that if you had come to the Bad Web first, folks here would have helped you out and saved you a lot of trouble. Not sure quite what you are going to do now....now that you have endeared yourself to so many members. Just so you know, there are still folks on this site that will help you out. I would try to hang on to them. |

5 Buells in my garage and only a few small issues. With each bike I knew they would have small issues. The X1 breaking exhaust header bolts (fixed with the hanger upgrade). The SS was fouling plugs like it was cool when I first bought it (talked to the dealership and told me due to exhaust and k&n without race ECM was the cause). Xb9sl no issues( funny it was a first year production to). 1125r (low speed surging fixed by ECM flashes). 09 uly (stiff face muscles from smiling like a teenager at his first topless bar). Buell puts out a good product that is only made great by the customer support they have offered. If I did not believe this whole heartedly then I would not have over $38,000 in bikes setting in my garage all made by the same company. There are reasons many of us bought this product and each one has a differant reason. Mine was supporting the small guy working for what he believes in and standing behind his product. I am 100% satisfied with my bikes and do not expect them to be perfect. Gentlemen remember that perception is reality, if it smells like shit and looks like shit than it probably is shit. First impressions are lasting impressions and if you present yourself as an a**hole in your first few posts then that is what you will be percieved as. Just my .02 Jimmy |

I would try to hang on to them. The bike would stall while stopped at traffic lights and would stall any time I released the throttle if I didnt let it idle for 10 minutes before I left home in the morning. It was also hard to start after it had been ridden, sat for about an hour and then started to go back out. It could be attributed to it being cold, but this was October and I live in South Florida. It was still 80 degrees outside. Blake seems to be the only one taking issue with me and calling me names. I have never come on here and insulted any members. I dont know a lot about Buells yet, but I try to offer advice where I can. Maybe Im too harsh with my criticism? I dont know. I also say when Im pleased with something. Im very happy with the way my bike is running now and I enjoy riding it. Ive posted that quite a few times now. I try to get my Jap bike riding friends to ride my bike so they can see how it runs and that its fun to ride. |

girls, girls, girls please stop this bickering. someone needs to learn to be more understanding here. I am not a mental health specialist but I do know some people get more upset than others. Name calling is; ad hominem –adjective 1.appealing to one's prejudices, emotions, or special interests rather than to one's intellect or reason. 2.attacking an opponent's character rather than answering his argument. ad hominem is not respectful. why is it that some people demand respect and have such a hard time giving it. Share the love, passion and answers that's it. Enough said. dannybuell |

Roger all, Mikezx9r says the bike stalled consistently , at traffic lights, or when stopped. Anybody had this happen to them? I have not and got every flash in order in my 08 1125R. I never had this problem. Has anybody else? Is this a sensor issue? Throttle position maybe? |

Has anybody else? Is this a sensor issue? Throttle position maybe? It stopped after I had the O S B tune, but was running way too rich and getting poor fuel mileage. If I leaned it out, I got the low RPM surge, but still no stalling. I finally decided that a PCV would be the most precise way to get the bike running in a way that made me happy. Yes, other people have had this problem. there is a recent thread about it. |

Mikezx9r; I look forward to learning what the eventual resolution will be to this common problem. sounds like a flash and or stator issue so far. dannybuell |

I didnt experience it any more after the O S B or PCV, so I would guess its related to running too lean. |

From someone coming to Buell's from a long list of Jap (& other) brands - I can see why someone might be frustrated with the quirks of the 1125 series. Especially the fuelling and/or lack of outright power compared to liter bikes - cut the guy a little slack. My 2 cents. |

Alright, somewhere in the backwater of this thread the OP asked for my formula in last bike purchased. Here's how the last purchase experience went, when we bought 2 bikes at once; Both bikes were at the dealership-one had 3 miles on it, the other had 7. I inspect the machines. Request a print out of recalls/services performed. Take machines for a test ride of at least 10 miles. Inspect machines again after the ride to check for leaks, etc.. If the inspections/test are positive the dicker/haggling begins; warranty, services for free, sets of tires, helmets gratis, etc., etc.. If all parameters are fair to us, or at an advantage to us, we purchase. Sight\unseen? No. Without a test ride? No. With obvious defects? No. Pay "New" price for used Demo.? No. Accept delivery of vehicle other than described? No. Never. I look at cases such as yours through the eyes of a small claims judge, or the Better Business Bureau mediator; You knowingly accepted a vehicle as it was otherwise described; used and abused. That is a paraphrase of your own words, but accurate. You may have paid for one thing, BUT YOU accepted delivery of something else entirely. Accept responsibility for letting yourself be raped by a salesman, basically. Sucks, but true, and as I said earlier it can happen with a Honda, Buell, or a Subaru- it's up to you. Either you let it happen or you get your money back through proper channels. |
