Lean! Nice little flat spot mid range. I'd guess round 4-6k but she still pulls hard after that. |

Jurisdiction is really important in these cases. There's moaning all over the Ducati board about cops in Long Island not only ticketing, but towing bikes with modified exhaust. |

No, my HMF shod CR is a lullaby compared to all the Harley guys. LEOS tend to be more appt to pull over a sport bike than an hd guy for some reason. Trust me on this one the bike I had b4 the 08 1125r was a 2005 Yamaha roadstar warrior with vance and hines big shots that thing was loud. got pulled over once ever on it cause i was going much to fast for where I was, cop said nothing about how loud it was. Got my 1125r last june and have been pulled over a good half dozen times and it hasn't even been when I am being a bit of a dick, its things like doing 5-10kmh over the limit. One cop tried to get me on stunting cause me on a bike pulled away from the light faster than the cars that were around |

... pulling away from the light faster than cars is stunting? Crap, I thought that was safety. Weird. |

If the cop rides a motorcycle you are in luck..if not get ready to "spread-em" and weep. |

... pulling away from the light faster than cars is stunting? When the cop told me that he could write me up on stunting I asked when and where I was stunting? He told me "pulling away from the lights a little fast back there" at that point I told the cop to go ahead and give me the ticket for 10 over the speed limit but unless you want to waste your time in court don't bother giving me the stunting ticket. He didn't like my "attitude" I bassicly told him that if I was stunting not only would I have pulled away from the lights alot faster but I also would have had the front end of the bike up in the air. At that point LEO told me to take my stuff and get outa here and if he caught me again doing even 5 over the speed limit later that day that he would write me up on everything and any thing he could get me on |

In GA they will write you a ticket for accelerating to fast.. Its BS. Who should care how fast you get to the speed limit? |

That's why I am leaning towards track riding instead of street. The cops single out sportbikes vs the hogs--gotta be cause they know the hogs are dogs!! |

In the UK you can get done for "furious riding", or "erratic riding". I got pulled because I accelerated away from the lights up to the 50 limit as quickly as I could and probably pulled 5-6 car lengths ahead of the unmarked cop car... On the plus side he got flashed by the speed camera when catching me up, but I was under the speed limit. We had the whole "I'm the one who has to go and tell your loved one when you have an accident" talk.. So I suggested that if he didn't like his job he should go and be a postman.. No ticket though as I said I'd see him in court rather than accept anything at the side of the road and he didn't feel it was worth his time. |

Had my bike about a day and was just starting the bike at work and the nice cop told me that dammm thing is going to be a ticket machine. I kindly replied....what? couldn't hear ya....not a great start, but I do have to admit it does have a nice sound and the chief of police (the nice cop whom I was referring to) is a great person. |

Sounds like typical harrassment to me. I don't know if I could let something like that go. |

ha ha ha ha thats funny got to a cop and complain that another cop was harassing me about something that would basically come down to his word against mine...... I doubt I would get very far with that one lol |
