Would anyone else be interested in buying this screen, or am I the only one?

Looks like it would be great for touring. I'd buy one. |

I have this screen in blue on my white R. It looks good. More importantly, at 6'2" it really helps to decrease wind buffeting at speed around your head. So, from a functionality standpoint, its great and I have been very happy with it. On a black bike though my personal preference would probably be a light smoke tint. IMHO the clear screen almost makes it look like it has a v-shaped hole in the front fairing. :-) |

I'd use one like that on the track. I think I'd actually be able to tuck in behind it. |

I believe that screen has been available from ZG for some time. Is that the "sport touring" model? EBR has just had ZG make a screen to their design but maintained the 1125R mounting area. The first screen is heading to East Troy by mid week. It was developed for the "B" race bikes but the common mount allows it to fit the 1125R. It is a single "arch" screen. Stay tuned. This is not the sport touring screen. It is a new design yet to be released by Zero Gravity. The sport touring screen looks like this:

They aren't for sale yet. They may not even be in production. I asked a guy at Zero Gravity about it around a month ago, and he said they'd be ready in a few weeks. I figured I'd see if anyone else wanted to buy these to maybe help inspire faster production. |

Greta Ron..so basically you sent out a teaser that may never come to fruition. You got my hopes up and now your telling me I may not even get a happy ending...Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Well the pic you posted proves that there is at least one in existence...do thumb wrestle or Indian leg wrestle for it?

Looks like whoever you are speaking to @ ZG is testing the waters for the screen EBR contacted them to produce - before actually sending the first one to EBR! When the CAD drawings were sent to them, Glenn said the shape was close to the "Corsa" screens made for the Ducati. We called out a specific height and shape and he literally called me last Thursday to tell me it was on it's way for evaluation. That first one you pictured sure does look like their Sport Touring version....We tested one at Daytona and it sure was HIGH. NOTE; the new screen for Erik's "B" superbike bodywork does have a little extra height to it because the mounting area is lower in relation to the rider. (picture the yellow bike caught in the "spy" shots) All will be clear VERY soon. It's great the aftermarket is making options. DSMcG (Message edited by DSMcG on February 07, 2010) |

I have the ZG sport touring in dark smoke color on my bike. I like it, much better wind protection than stock. |

My mistake. Looked like the touring screen at first glance. The ZG touring screen was certainly an improvement over stock. This may be a continued improvement for various applications. |

There's lots of not quite correct info in this thread. ZG was working on essentially this screen over a year ago when the other 1125R screens were released. The problem they had is that the sheer size of this screen makes it so that they can only get ONE screen out of their blank, instead of the normal 2 screens. The Sport Touring screen that they released at the same time as their DB and stock profile screens is NOT the one that they wanted to release, it was this Corsa screen (or one an awful lot like it, based on their Ducati MotoGP screen)that they wanted to release for that application, but cost drove them to the other ST screen. We have never sold THIS screen, nor has anyone else, because as Dave and Ron wrote, it doesn't exist for public sale yet. The one Roy got was not this Corsa screen OR a ST screen, it was a clear OEM profile screen (which is actually about 1.5" taller than OEM but WAY shorter than this, but I digress). ZG has provided a couple to EBR, but it wasn't clear to me if those were the original Corsa profile they had, or new similar ones built per a EBR CAD drawing. The picture Ron showed is the one that ZG provided pictures to me in December. I was told that they would have pricing data later on this week, but that they wouldn't be producing anything until EBR got back to them on the prototypes. This photo shows the three that are currently available, with the Corsa screen that isn't yet.

Well, I have the touring screen and would've thought it to be high enough. But seeing the profile of the newer screen -- yes, I'd buy it. BUT -- I'd like to see Zero start blacking out the lower portions of the screen, as many of the Jap screens are. I blacked out my Zero double bubble (in the 'original' bubble area); the proposed screen would look like a LOT of clear plastic. |

Greetings All; >>>>> Well-er-um-da-dah >>>> here I am with my head tucked and humbled for the confusion I caused about this screen. Thank you Al for reaffirming the true specifics of this screen brought to this thread by Ron luning. My unit, purchased from Al, is exactly what I think will work for me. >>>> one and one half(1.5")inches taller insures a tad more wind protection against head buffeting, at high speed, and the ability to raise my head a few extra inches off the tank for a better and more relaxed sight picture. >>>> For me -- visual acuity demands a clear screen.
