Hi, so I'm looking to get back into a Buell (owned two previously), namely the 1125CR. Looks like McHenry has a bunch of demos that I think I might be interested in picking up one with lower miles. My dilemma is that I'm in CT. Anyone live near McHenry HD who'd be willing to inspect 2-3 for me and give me their opinion so I can make a more informed decision before purchasing and having it shipped up here? I'd talk to Chris (the sales manager) and have him put 2-3 low mileage black demos aside for me to have a close look. Thanks in advance, Peter. |

I'm about an hour and a half away so I wouldn't be able to, but I will say they were very accurate with the description of mine and sent photos. Mine had one rock chip in the fairing that they described perfectly. Otherwise it was a flawless bike. |

I live 5 minutes from McHD. It's not tough for me to check something out, but in my experiences with Chris, (or Rob-General Manager) they are both pretty straight up guys. Not alot of car/bikes salesmen I'd trust over the phone. But there is a reason why MCHD has the reputation they do. But if there is something specific you'd like me to look at, thats easily done. The thing is, even tho they have it in stock, it may be at their Woodstock storage location. That's a little tougher to get to. |

If I lived closer, I'd do all my business with them. Good honest folks other there. |

Thanks guys...can't wait to be back in the Buell family. Great information about McHD and their staff...I'll have Chris send me some spec sheets and pics of 2-3 black ones so I can make a decision...thanks again, much appreciated! |

If there are any specific questions you have, I'd bring them up to Chris. I'm sure he'll be completely up front and honest about anything you're curious about. I have a very good relationship with pretty much everyone there. I really don't think they'll steer you wrong or misrepresent things to you. Again, very good people to deal with. |

HD, Chris said the 5 black demos that have left are all in perfect condition...if you have the time can you ask to see the lower mileage ones? There's one with 200 and a couple more with 700...no worries if you can't as you obviously have other, better things on your mind. Congrats! |

I would be willing to bet that they probably have one of them on the floor at McHenry. But the rest would be in storage about 10 miles away. When I bought mine they had the black 1125R on the floor but they had to bring the one that I bought over from storage. |

Ride4life, I really wouldn't sweat it. If you nail down one bike you are sold on. Have them go over it with a fine tooth comb and send plenty of pics to make sure. Just as a side note, when I was in there doing my deal, they knew nearly every person that came through the door on a first name basis. It's a tiny, old school, no frills bike shop. |

The McHenry HD store isn't very big and they are packed up pretty good with floor inventory, motorclothes and service area. Not alot of spare room around. But the main Woodstock store is a pretty big store. Next door they have a building that used to be an old Farm and Fleet store that they use for inventory storage and customer bike winter storage. Unless you buy something off the floor, everything is going to come from the Woodstock storage. But as said before, I don't think you'll find many HD stores that will treat you as well as these guys. They are truly top notch people. |

Hog, its very possible I was there when you were doing your deal! I'm usually there at least once a week. I don't buy anything, I just go in the shoot the shyt with Chris or Rob. And yes, they know pretty much every return customer they have by name. To me, thats one detail that says tons about who they are. I know one day I was there someone had an 1125R outside just so they could hear it. I believe it was a black one. (Message edited by skratch on January 28, 2010) |
