I have just got my Jardine eliminator kit and the directions are piontless. I need to get the old licenes plate bracket off and kinda lost.

I got the two bolts under the seat off and the three under the linces plate bracket. The directions are telling me there are five more bots by the tail faring but i cant find what the are talking about bc the pic in the directions suck.

Dose anyone have any pic of these or and direction what I should do next thanks alot.

It is fairly simple. The bracket the plate bolts too is actually two pieces. If you look up from the bottom, you will see six torx screws holding the cover on. Take those out and it will reveal two more that hold that assembly onto the bike.

Yep, it's two pieces. You have to take it apart before you can remove it.

It has to be the ugliest plate bracket i've ever seen.

the Jardine only has one mounting hole. I ended up drilling two more holes for the other two factory bolts that hold the stock bracket on. I held the stock bracket up to the Jardine to mark the holes. Mark them a little forward of where the holes are because the bolts have to go in at an angle. Then just get the screws started and they will do the rest.

I agree with Moose...I drilled 2 more holes, got longer bolts, and mounted the Jardine with 3. One just sounded like a bad idea.

I used angle cut bushings to align the bolts. see pic.

I did the same as Kirb.
I had a tube of thick walled aluminum and cut wedges.

the five bolts in the tail section is the complete tail faring. they want you to remove it to have better access to the wiring. you don't need to do this but i did because of the tail light up grade i did at the same time. see my other post.
if you look close the instructions say to remove the seat then the five bolts in the tail section. three on top and one on either side under near the frame. i agree pics do suck.

On a side note, I actually don't mind the stock fender on the 1125. The 1125 is the first bike I've owned that didn't have some huge ugly mudflap hanging off of the back of it. (Actually, now that I think about it, the stock rear fender on my CBR600F2 isn't bad either, nor was the one on my Vmax. But every other bike I've had has been atrocious.) Given that I have a wife-limited budget for bike expenses, I'm gonna save any upgrades for performance-related stuff that actually bothers me. (Such as the too-quiet, poorly-routed stock muffler.)

It took me 10 years to finially clean up my '99M2 back end, but took less than 1 week to get rid of that fugly 1125 tail. A bike that nice just needs something better than....THAT.
