So I installed the high bar kit in my rush to put everything back I was bolting on the airbox body panel cover and stripped out the the lower air box nut. I didn't cross thread the bolt I actually broke the receiving nut free from the molded plastic so that it just spins. I had to grind off the bolt head to get the airbox body panel off and then remove the airbox. The lower black piece that holds the air filter is what I am looking for . Does anyone know the part number for this? I am going to have to replace it. I tried to melt the nut back into the plastic but that was a complete failure. Any help would be appreciated. This is an expensive learning lesson not to rush. |

I've had good luck repairing those types of nuts with JB Weld. Get the slow set version, clean all the plastic off the brass nut, make sure the threads are clean so there's no excess twisting force. Leave the plastic clean but rough so it has a good surface to bond to. Make sure that it's got plenty of JB in there, put the nut back in and let it dry. |
