Erik has NOT returned two emails in the last ten days. His failure to communicate caused me to pass on a new 1125R engine on ebay. He didn't even have the courtesy to answer if he would do an "A S B" build on the engine (as he advertises on his website). Know he's probably busy but ignoring customers ain't good business... Erik is not ignoring customers. Both your statement and your characterization of Erik are patently inaccurate. Ever gotten 400+ e-mails a day for 22 days and tried to keep up with them while you were building shelves at 2:00am and sorting through 10,000 items delivered from 9 different locations, many unmarked? This was a 1-man show until 2 days ago. If you can't be patient . . .you are well advised to pass on the 1125R. Anybody who has known Erik Buell for more than 5 minutes will know your statement to be terribly inaccurate. Court | ||

Give good advice and answers, not excuses. Please let this new venture start with honesty. The customer is right its wrong to not answer emails. For ten years email programs have had an auto responder telling the latest news and time tables. This is the same bad info and coverups that forced Harley to kill Buell because no honest info flowed upward allowing the same mistake to be repeated three years in a row. Be a real help to Erik if you want him to succeed. Give good advice and answers, not excuses. Badweb where the customer is always wrong? | ||

Ducdood9 - I think you need to re-read Court's response to Boodlum. I do not know Erik personally, but had an interaction with him in the last month via email. I read the press release about EBR and immediately went to the placeholder site and inquired about race ECMs and suspension parts. To my surprise (but not to anyone else who knows the man) he responded personally within a few hours. He explained that he was doing everything out of his home computer until the venture got up and running. That was all I needed to understand the stories about his deep involvement and connection with his customers. I understand your point of view, but given my personal experience with Erik Buell, it supports the commonly-held opinion that he EMBODIES the words "customer service" and is actually the EPITOME of what you are suggesting he become. Add that to the fact that he is starting this venture to continue supporting the bikes that bear his name, when he probably has enough $$$ to retire for 2-3 lifetimes, and I think you'll see that a retraction is in order. What are you still doing here Ducdood9? Didn't you hate the pods so much that you couldn't bare to own one? I love the pods, just wish someone would made a chin fairing that would attach to the bottom of the stock pods, kinda like this photoshop.  | ||

That's my favorite picture of an 1125CR, hands down. I just wish the side fairings existed. I'd be ok with the stock tail though. | ||
