when i got my 05 xb12s i got my insurance through dairyland for about $600. then 2 years ago i added a 99 honda superhawk and switched to progressive. i got both bikes insured for about $200 each $400 for both bikes and i was like SWEET! now i call them to swap the superhawk for a 1125cr and they say it will go up like $550 more. So thats $750 just for the 1125cr. anyone else come across this crap? |

Geico was the best option for me. Some of the other places gave me numbers that were laughable. 42, married, to tickets/accidents (in a good number of years at least), been riding about 24 years. Full everything with reasonably low deductibles on the '09R was in the $315 annual range best I can recall. Mike |

Yeah I got slammed by Nationwide and switched to some tiny no name company for my PIP. I figure if I total the r replacing it will be the least of my troubles. |

I am with State Farm and my premium is $350 for the year. I'm 26, single, and was quite surprised on the amount but I was quoted over $1000 for other companies such as Progressive and Geico. |

I have State Farm too (for the moment), and I can tell you that the reason they are so inexpensive is that they do not offer medical payments. |

Geico is the best. Everyone else was sooooo expensive. Geico beat everyone by $700-$1500. |

For my 2009 CR: I'm 24, single, and have a clean driving record: all the big name companies like Geico, State Farm, Progressive wanted upwards of $1,500/year for full coverage. As a matter of fact, NO company would insure me below $1,300/year for full coverage. So I rationalized like streetdemon that most accidents are going to be caused by others ... if I'm too stupid or foolish and get into an accident that's my fault, I deserve to pay for it. I now pay $550/year with $500 deductible comprehensive coverage, liability, and medical through a small company in my town. |

The coverage for a HD Softail in NJ is about 500 annual with a clean record. Same policy dropped the HD and added the 1125R and its now 835 annual. Thats from Foremost which is HD. The HD guy said the reason its higher is because the R at the end of 1125R which denotes its superbike status. Car ins in NJ for 2 cars full coverage and a clean record $1800 (Message edited by kc10_fe on January 02, 2010) (Message edited by kc10_fe on January 02, 2010) |

$800 for my 1125r and a Street Bob for a year. $1000 deductible. Getting my ins through Dairyland via HD insurance. Clean record, no tickets or accidents. |

I added my 1125R to my policy of 4 other bikes and full coverage with $250 deductible added $850 to my policy.. I went ahead and had to give them around $300 for the remainder of my policy but planning on shopping around (progressive) or just not carrying full coverage and dealing with it on my own if its my fault... A few years of paying those rates will buy another bike! 46 married with a couple performance awards no accidents! |

Have yet to find anyone who beats StateFarm rates. Found the same to be true when i bought a new R1 a few years back. |

I'm checking in with State Farm on renewal in Feb. I was getting full ins on a sv650 for under $100 a year a couple years back. Their prices were not so good when I got my Street Bob. |

I am with Progressive and the 1125R is going to add a fair bit to my policy. I'm 34, married, home owner, no tickets. I don't know for sure how much it's going to add because I've got six bikes right now (three are for sale) and Progressive will only insure four on a policy. I could get a second policy for the other two bikes but then I have to pay for a full year up front which sucks. So once the weather warms up enough to ride, I'll replace one of the non-ridden bikes with the 1125R and then I'll know for sure how much extra it's going to cost me. I may shop around for GEICO and State Farm too. Progressive did have the best rates a few years ago when I did some price checking and I haven't bothered to do any comparisons since then. |

Dairyland was almost $1300 a year, Geico closer to $600 for the same coverage. All of my cars and the house are with Allstate and they wanted $1700 a year for the R. While I was shopping Geico was 1/3 the price for my Raptor 700 of what Allstate was. Too bad they couldn't do anything for the house insurance or I'd switch everything to Geico. |

You'll get a laugh out of this one. 2007 Ducati Multistrada is $381 a year. Progressive. Liability coverages are 100,000/300,000. Way higher than the state minimums. Uninsured Motorists 100,000/300,000. Comp and Collision both have $250 deductibles. Towing and labor They quoted me an additional $1200 a year for a CR with the same coverages. I called back to see if they made a mistake. They said no. I said no. Oh yeah, 44, married, child and a clean record. (Message edited by dentguy on January 02, 2010) |

I have USAA. I have discovered that their prices aren't competitive after adding the CR to the mix. I have two cars, two motorcycles, and a boat on my policy, BTW. I'm 40 yrs. old, married and haven't had any tickets or accidents in 3+ years. I also checked Progressive. Their prices were no better. However, I just got a quote from Geico. Their quote for both of my motorcycles (the other is a Suzuki V-Strom 650) is $840 for the year. I'm pleased with this quote. The quote includes Liability (PI and PD), comprehensive and collision. It does not include PIP, Underinsured PI or PD. I will be switching. |

I’m getting $360 a year from State Farm. However, only paying around $260 a year, since State Farm lets you suspend collision coverage, keeping only liability during the winter. |

living in nj, i was VERY worried about insurance for my 1125cr. Rider insured me for less than 400 a year full coverage. I also have REALLY good NON nj based health insurance that covers me on a bike. I understand the "r" would be more |

ALLSTATE: Went to them after Progressive bumped my insurance from around $350/ year for a new 08 HD Ultra Classic (+-$26,000) to $1,720 for the 1125R ($12,500 ... at least back then)!!! I'm 62 and have NO tickets!! Then I went to Allstate; $240/year My cars are cheaper too by around $150 each. |

I have a number of bikes (ok,8) with Progressive. I'm in my 50's, perfect driving record, and have great rates with them. Then I went to add the 1125r. Holy s***!!! $1200 more! So that one bike is on Geico, at less than $500. They may all be on Geico at renewal time. |
