OK i copied the aussie style fairings a little... Mine does not have 2 tone grey and the red strip is a reflective strip from streetglo. I like it but it took a couple hours to figure out the vinyl and how to use it.. i have never done vinyl before... the right is a bit better than the left side, but you would have to inspect it up close, in person, to notice the flaws... Now i have 2010 pods sticker coming and i'm thinking of putting those in the black area on the fairing... Or should i do something else? I also have some brushed aluminum looking BUELL emblems. they are similiar to the ones on the tank.. I think those might be a bit much. I will not put a Pegasus on the fairing. honestly i can't stand the look of the pegasus anywhere on any Buell. SO maybe gimmie so idea, bash it, its all good with me... enjoy. And a picture before the vinyl wrapping.

i just went and tried my BUELL emblem and stuck it to the grey area. it looks Sharp, BUT you can;t do the same on the left side since theres a big ass hole in the way... oh well i will keep on looking... I hope my dealer calls me this week for the 2010 stickers.. |

Why are you in the way of the left fairing? Looks great. |

Those 2010 pod decals will look nice on the black area of the side fairings. I have the 2010 decals on my CR and it looks a lot better. |

This is the way the new Buell 1125 R should have looked when introduced. I think it would have been accepted more..REX |

Who needs too be accepted we own Buell's. I actually dig the unique look that some find ugly yet the option for a fairing is nice. Really do want a belly pan like my firebolt had though. In regards too the topic here I like the clean look w/o decals too be honest. the two tones with red stripe is nice as is. |

Gray looks like primer. Maybe something close to the blue of the frame would look cool? |

I can see how the grey looks like primer in the pics.. the color came out dull, but it does shine in person... As for blue, it might look good, but theres enough black and blue on the bike already.. i wanted some contrast.. We'll see it goes with the 2010 decals, i'll test them first and see how i like em. |

Lookin' good! +1 for the 2010 R graphics on the side, I think they'll look cool and break up the sides just a little. A couple of things I'm thinking of doing to mine - red rim stripes (like a CR), red Buell airbox badges like a 2010 R or black/red XB12R, and I'd like to get a belly pan which would be partly grey but mainly black. |

I considered doing the same; my hat's off to you because I wasn't able to work such a large section of the silver. So I did this instead (zero points for noticing that the lettering doesn't actually say "Red Bull". Just installed today:
Other side; look carefully and you'll see that the rearmost corner of the fairing has been shortened, to make it the same width as the right side (and not rub my leg):
and completed the 'holes' this way:
For the above pic, the grillework extends over the entire insulation pad, to keep the header pipe from continuing to destroy the pad. My basic racing stripe theme:
And, finally, the white-painted fairings make the forward opening look quite large; unlike the oem fairings which, because they were black, made it all tend to blend together. Note the oem muffler and seat are in place; what you can't see is, so are the oem airbox, intake funnels, intake solenoid, and ecu flash. That's because the custom muffler is being ceramic coated (third and final prototype). In a few weeks it'll be back from Jet Hot.

WOW THAT LOOKS SHARP... its little too much for me, but it does look great, nice work.. as for the vinyl... trust me, it took 3 hours for the first side and 1.5 hours for the other side once i figured out the vinyl will streth more than i thought...I noticed today once everything dried that i have a few bubbles but they are small and not really noticable unless you look close... My 2010 decals might come in this week , i hope so as i am really curious how those will look. |

redscuell, wow, i like the way that turned out alot!!! I just picked my red 1125r the day before thanksgiving and haven't decided which direction i'm headed, but I was thinking of the mesh in the holes, and now i'm sure of it. NICE CLEAN JOB - LOOKS GREAT!! |

"but I was thinking of the mesh in the holes, and now i'm sure of it." Use s/s, because I didn't, and by necessity the grille touches the rear header, and mine (grille) is looking a bit scorched. Being c/s I'm expecting it will burn through eventually. |

We expect some parts will start going on-line with pricing this week, and more will be added on a daily basis as we verify availability and cost. There are hundreds of parts, however stock is out on many of them, and we have to wait to either make them or get them from suppliers. Although the final word will be when these items are on-line, I can tell you that we will have the first of several 1125R fairings soon, but the first ones will be race only, with no provisions for headlights. Customer Support Erik Buell Racing I dont think this really applies here but Erik stated there will be several fairings for sale so I'll wait till he releases something good and a direct boltup. |

Hey Red; nice work. Looks sharp - nice to see a different colour scheme instead of the usual pure black, white etc. Now you just need a belly pan and it will be complete! |

For Justa4banger - if you look at your pics, you'll note your red stripe on the fairing starts the same diagonal line that's continued through the tail section. Hard to explain...but if it were me, I'd run the same red stripe along the tail - maybe "coming out" of the holes under the seat - and around the tail just above the taillight. Just to continue that line. Looks great though! |

I admit I have a bit too much time on my hands; so here's yesterday's effort at a true "bikini" fairing:
The last pic is the rider's view. The mirror's are pig spotters with inbuilt led turn signals. No windscreen, as here I don't believe I'm required to have one, and I wanted to create an absolute minimalist look. Stricly for around town and not suited to cold-weather runs on the freeway, nor high speed summer runs (bugs!) It started out as a perfectly good black front fairing. My bad. |

Now that's a new one. If you could just cover the fairing stay up to the new mirror mounts with matching white plastic you might have something. Keep up the customizing. |

" If you could just cover the fairing stay up to the new mirror mounts " Mate! Exposing those gorgeous brackets was one of the points of the exercise; which was entirely for my own gratification. This is a streetfighter configuration, a rare treat for me who has never owned a naked. |

Don't take this the wrong way but wouldn't it have been easier to have started with a CR if you're after the "naked" look? |

Ratbuell i see exactly what you mean... and actually i have those superblack reflective strips under the passenger seat and at night theres a nice LINE from red to white with the reflective tape.. When i get back to my bike i'll mock up some red stripping and see what i think.. Sorry rescuell... Yuck on the bikini fairings, but luckily you don;t have to impress me LOL |

"but wouldn't it have been easier to have started with a CR " Obviously you haven't consider the cost of your option (trading my R in on an R). |
