Many have reported that the rear turn signals on their bikes have burned out, often times before even leaving the dealer when first picked up. The supplier of the turn signals shipped Buell a bad batch. The fix is to replace the turn signals, which is covered under the standard 2 year unlimited mile warranty. The revised replacement signals are not prone to failure like the originals. How do identify a potentially bad turn signal: Take apart the turn signal, and examine the weather seal. The original signals that are failure prone will have a black seal, while the good signals will have a grey seal. Turn signal with the grey seal (good): Turn signal with the black seal (bad): (Pictures stolen from an old post by Court) |

hey, thanks froggy. that's good to know. i lost the left turn signal with about 160 mi. i figured it was something i did since it blew right after i installed a ddm hid kit. the polarity was reversed on both ballasts so they didn't work when i first plugged them in. pulled the wires from the connectors, switched them, and viola they worky real nice. first time i tried the left blinker, it had the you've lost a bulb death blink on the display. went to replace the bulb and realized it was led. did manage to get two three the led's to operate so it's usable. but good to know its a known problem to get replaced. |

Lost my first one at 650 miles, the other one a few thousand miles later. Anybody got the part numbers for the 2010 turn signals? |

Those are a lot cheaper than the 2009 part numbers. Did they go back to a bulb for 2010? |
