Finally got some mirrors back on the bike! $40 on ebay, they have amber signals and I kinda think they have the buell logo shape to them? I experimented with some bar ends but didn't like to look, these seem to work well with the hand guards.

Diggin' the handguards. Are they running lights, or do you have them as signals? And did you light them yourself? I can't find lit guards on the Acerbis website...can't even find anything that looks like those! (Message edited by ratbuell on December 04, 2009) |

Wow, that looks great. Zac in parts recommended the same guards to a recent CR buyer but hadn't seen them mirrors. I will make sure he sees this for future reference. ~jammer |

One important note on the hand guards is that the inner bar diameter is too small for the bar end insert to fit... I had to drill it out just a bit to get it to slide in. |

I have been thinking about the mirrors listed below, does anyone have these? I think it's pretty cool you can adjust the length of these. In order to see farther behind your bike. http://www.moto-science.com/product/73811/BMW-F650 R-F800-R1200GS-Folding-Mirrors-Pair_330255.html |

looked at the handguard website.... It looks like the HG's dont connect to the handle bars like traditional "bark busters" but just fit into the bar ends. Is that so? Hell of an idea. How rigid do they feel? And how much is "a bit" when you mentioned drilling out the bar ends? What were you drilling? (Message edited by joebuell on December 05, 2009) |

The guards only attach on the bar end... there is some flex to them if you push or pull them but not so much they shake around at all while riding. The bar end insert is long and stout so its a good solid attachment point. The stock bar id is just under 1/2 inch... I think bumping them to 9/16 would work but my drill bit sizes ended at 1/2 so I had to buy a bigger bit, I only wanted to have to buy one new bit and drill it once so I played it safe and went with 5/8ths, works great. |

Go take a look at your wheels and report back what country of origin is cast into the spokes. Looks like you need to ride without wheels... |

I just picked up the tank protector at cycle gear. If your living in the dream world thinking you can live in this country using only USA made products your sadly mistaken. I will buy what works best for me at the best value. |
