I know there was a post on here about this but what do you have to do to put the 2010 brake light on the 08 1125r |

Replace the plug that comes on the light with spade connectors. Super simple. ac |

Call American Sportbike and ask for Al I just bought one a few days ago and he fitted the connections to fit my 09 CR. He is great in our Buell parts industry www.americansportbike.com |

I think it was 50 or 60 bucks. He has another that he gets from Australia it goes with the lens that are on our 08 and 09's . 2010 light is an all enclosed LED. |

I see the price at a total of $72 from the other forum. Quite a bit cheaper than XB Lights, but I really want the integrated markers. At under $150 the XB Lights would be a no-brainer, but at $215 after the discounts, thats a lot of cheddar compared to the 2010 option... |

The XBlights are hand made and are low production, and use top of the line parts. All that adds up to an expensive, but high quality unit. The OEM LED light is nice if you are on a budget, but the XBlights setup makes it and all the other aftermarket kits look like crap. |

www.xblights.com ive been planning on doing a comparison shoot with the -XB Lights -2010 LED light -clear alternatives -stock -2009 bulb but have yet to get it done. Thanks Froggy for your kind words!!! the stock bulb flat out sucks! the clear alternatives light is pretty much right one with the bulb...sucks. see this link for some quick shots of the clear alt VS. XB Lights...... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/379540.html?1233771931 the 2010 LED setup isnt too bad. The running light is weak, but brake light is okay for the price. Not super bright, but no doubt better then the clear alt and the - 2009 bulbs. There is a brand that American Sport Bike has (heavy cycles) that is a bit more expensive then ours, but they are the ONLY other brand I would recommend getting. I have yet to see one in person, but I have never heard a bad thing about them, ever! and from my understanding they are pretty bright as well. and there is also a brand called ecliptitech or ecliptech, for under 150. But looking over there current consumption it makes me wonder how bright they are, as i don't think they would be very bright. But again, I have yet to see one of those in person as well. There are plenty of options out there, just gotta pick what fits you best....... Whatever you go with, ride safe!!! -Robert |

I have the heavy cycles on my XB9S. It's a weapon. I may take pics of it side by side with my CR for a direct comparison to stock. |
