Ok just so you know Im in sales at a Harley dealer. And today I had a guy and his girlfriend came in and I told them about the buells. He fell for a XB12Scg in blue. OK good one more buell on the road. I thought! Ok I go thru the paper work and submit the credit app....What for it..... Harley DENIES them and for what you might ask? Because it was a Buell. WTF!!! Oh and it gets better. The also told them that they WOULD approve him If it was on a HD product. Again I say WTF. First its the Apparel then its the accessories. And now the financing????? Whats next???? |

The F&I at that dealership sucks. We can get him approved. I've got a Blue SCG in stock. Have him to give me a call. |

Did you tell him to go to his bank and ask for a loan? And for the pain, give him and her and free shirt and traction grips. |

Harley credit is historically really effing lousy. Anytime I've had them check, the rates they give me are outrageous. It's no wonder they've only been able to give loans out to people who can't pay them as they can't do any better. Even recently, I bought a car and another Buell within a month of each other. I borrowed on the bike for half the time, and the rate was TWICE as high. I didn't care as it will be paid off in the spring, but regardless. I could, literally, take out an unsecured personal loan from my credit union for a full point less than they gave me on the bike. I have a 770 credit score. HD credit sucks. |

Let see how this works: borrow at 15% and not loan it out at 6%, that makes sense. Borrow at 15% and not loan it out at all, that makes no sense. Getting something, anything, back for it is good stewardship. Wasn't there a 2000 year old parable about how to make the best of a situation like this? |

Maybe his credit was poop and he would only be approved on the first time buyer program for HD. Ive had applicants where that is the case. |

I got mine through HD credit 3 weeks ago. No issue. Maybe because I have owned 2 harleys and 2 buells before and paid them all off |

I think the the thing that buged me the most is that they said no to a Buell but yes to a bigger more expensive Harley |
