After a week and a half got my bike back. Everything seems to be fine with the bike now after Stator assy is now replcaed. Downshift cut off is gone. I think that symptom was attributed to the Stator. Posistion crank sensor was okay that is what I was told. Battery, regulator, alternator all in good shape. Bike has new Ca. 152 flash for 09 CR. Bike is running better than ever did my first ride to work just now. 75 miles with plenty of grins on my face. Dealer seems to have done a good job. We will see. I think they did overfill my oil but not bad were I couldnt run it this morning. I will drain some out when I get home. Stator Assy if anyone is wondering from the dealer if warranty did not apply would have been... $680 stator assy $5 Stator gasket $85 labor $6.95 quart of harley dino oil (overfill a little) $255 diablo rear tire (they found a nail) $85 labor Pretty steep I am happy for warranties that was brutal! Special thanks to Cringblast who noticed the issue right away and said it was the Stator. Apparently Buell has went with a whole new part number. So they have made some changes to the Stator. I think since the part is expensive no recalls have been issued. There have been a more than a few Stator failures on 09's. The dealer Quaid Temecula has done 4 in the last year. stator assy 14V 520W Y0442.2AM (Message edited by freezerburn840 on November 19, 2009) (Message edited by freezerburn840 on November 19, 2009) |
