I guess the Cali buyer is going to drive it across the US a few times to get past 7500 miles so he can register it there?

Damn Tampa's only a couple hours away.

I lived in CA from 1992-2005, and that 7K miles rule was a b**ch. I keep seeing 7,500 miles, so maybe it's changed or my memory isn't all that good.

If I end up taking my 09R out there, it will have to run its MO tag until I hit the magic number. I did that on my last Buell, but it's not popular with the authorities!

I have a white 09 1125R which I paid quite a lot for here in the UK in Nov 08 so I am not best pleased with HD and if I ever meet Willie G I will tell him what I think of his company, not that I would ever sell the bike but this is not the point.
I feel sorry for the elves at the factory who are now without work before Xmas, I wish I had got the spare cash to buy another 1125R to add to the collection as well.
Wish I hadn't bought that CVO Fat Bob in the summer, should have bought a CR and put a fat seat on the pillion for madame.

The Peoples Republic of California requires that all new vehicle purchases be of bikes complying with their extra strict CARB certifications. Only way around it is to buy a used bike, but then it has to have 7500 miles on it.
