I confess, when I first saw it, I thought the 1125cr was ugly. After a while, I thought it was just weird. But since, it's looks have been growing on me. I now own a red cr. I decided to buy it primarily based on it's extraordinary performance. I found the looks tolerable. Now, after living with it for three weeks, I find I really like the way it looks. In fact, I really, really like it. I think it's one of the coolest looking bikes on the road. Unique, stylized, edgy, clean and complex and organic. Great character. I keep finding myself out in the garage just staring at it, mesmerized. Good job Erik. Not one to leave well enough alone, I pestered my wife, the queen of photoshoping, to whip up this, first in a series, two-tone version as a style exercise.

uh! the next step is looking at it ALL red (like mine..ghgh). Way better than the red one. And faster too. You know the red color is the fastest one, even more tha the white 1125R. |

It looks funny with black pods. Maybe a black tail section would look better. |

Try losing the gloss on the pods. Make them ore like the matte frame finish. That could be interesting. |

Personally, I just want to know what a CR would look like with the R lower fairings. |

I'll have the rest of it flat back soon. Typically, all my bikes are flat black though:

Ha, When my wife photoshopped this one, I had asked her to make the pods flat black to make them "disappear" but she just rushed this pic out 'cause it was really easy to do. I'll ask for a couple more iterations. This is gonna cost me... (Message edited by pwillikers on November 15, 2009) (Message edited by pwillikers on November 15, 2009) |

Hmmm, you certainly have a way of converting your bikes into "Rat" bikes! Will the CR be getting ape hangers in the near future? |

"Personally, I just want to know what a CR would look like with the R lower fairings." I was thinking this same thing today.... you could probably trim the top mounting area on the fairings and some how attach the fairings to the pods.... I think it would look awesome. Just an idea though. |

I'm heading in the same direction. Ordered two black covers to retain the original red ones and will be checking for a satin/matte black to match the front part on the pods. And I have a flat black 900SS Ducati ratted out too. Says "DUFUCKINCATI" in the '80's twin line font. The whole "ducatisti" crowd was getting as Nancy as the Harley/BMW crowd. |

Only enough seat for one rider? What if you want to take a passenger? Very shellfish design if you ask me. |

I happen to have a set of Black lower fairings for the 1125R that I will not be using. NEW IN THE BOX. I haven't had a chance to post them in the wanted section, but would let them go for $400, plus shipping. |

This needs exploring and possibly it's own thread. I have seen photoshop's of a cr with the lower fairing and it's fooking fantastic. But I do not know if it would work. Obviouslly most of the mounting points will be the same but how do those lower fairings mate with the upper fairing of the R ? I'm doubting they'll bolt right up to a cr, but if they did.... |

the side fairings mount the lower part of the front fairing. SO yes some fabbing will have to be done... not a direct swap by any means, but i could see the side fairings being trimmed a little to remove the top lip and with some ingenuity (sp) the sides working out on a CR. |

If you ride a Buell, I seriously doubt you want a passenger with you. Buells are for Corner Carving, lol |

Paul, I like your idea of the black pods a lot. Best looking 1125 I have seen so far. I have always thought that the bike's looks would be improved by a chin fairing too. Perhaps your wife could favor us with one of those? |

If anyone can find relatively hi-res profile pics, right side or left, of an 1125 with a full fairing and another with a chin fairing, preferable in both black and red, post the links and I'll see what I can do. |

Any photoshop pros want to show a red R with an eskalation belly pan and no fairings? I wish I was more savvy with computers. If anyone can, I would really appreciate it! |
