Not an add bro, I'm getting my bike serviced. Last time I was here, they only had 3 ulys left. I figured I'd give anyone looking in the central Florida area a heads up. Is there a problem with that? |

They have a new cherrybomb 09 xb12ss lightning as well, but I did not post that because this is the 1125 board. I don't know why, but your post has me kinda pissed. |

@Fresnobuell It's not an ad. It's information by a third party who has no financial interest in the dealership. You and I agree on a lot of stuff, but this is one issue where we don't. You seem to have this "I have mine; too bad for you" attitude. There are a lot of people for whom this is a once in a lifetime, final opportunity to get a state of the art Buell sport bike at a very good price (and maybe at the only price that they can afford). This is a community. If we can help enthusiasts trying to locate the last Buells, I'm all for it. |

This'll sound like an ad...but we're a sponsor so I'm allowed, LOL. Got a black one, and a red one - came off the truck on Weds. Frederick MD. New '09. Both stock with clubmans...but I'm willing to help *one* buyer if they want riser bars (the kits are backordered). I have a kit at home (my personal kit) that I'm in no rush to put on my personal CR. Want a CR with riser bars? You can have my kit and I'll reorder for myself. And no, I'm not selling just the kit. |

That CR isn't going anywhere. It was there when I picked up parts last weekend. Maybe someone had luck with the sales staff, but the guys I talked to weren't interested in selling their Buells. "Some other smuck will buy it" was the response I got. Seminole sales team are "HAPPY" to see that Buell shut down. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it. Told the guy that I will buy my Buell elsewhere, and I did. When I went to a dealership outside of CentralFlorida, they bent over backwards to help me out with the purchase. |

Ratbuell: I just got my highbar kit in yesterday! According to HDNet they are backordered with no date (according to one of our local shops). So, why mine appeared yesterday is beyond me. I'm happy it did, but now I have some work to do. Theeman: Different dealers are really handing this shut down differently. Some are treating the customers well, others are just glad to be back to selling HD only. The thing is, we're still here. Buell owners will be buying parts and getting service for a while and those that mistreat us or say "good riddance" are only hurting themselves in the long run. Wayne |

i mentioned elsewhere that although the handle bar kit is backordered all the parts in the kit are available. cost me a few $ less as i did'nt need the grip, bar ends, zips, ect passing on info on a bike you have no vested intrest in is not an ad. |

I had zero problems with the sales staff, it must have been a good day. I was there for several hours while Bob tried to reproduce my headlight issue. In the end he could not isolate the cause, and instead of making something up like my local brevard dealer, he asked me to bring it back and leave it next week so he and the head Buell mechanic could solve the puzzle. Maybe you just caught a salesman on a bad day!! |

if a tree falls in the forest, but is not a sponsor, does it still make a sound audible to badweb members? or can we not hear it? will i get if i post up about it on here, or is that sort of thing only tolerated on buellxb.com, buellitinboard.com or any other internet site? wait!! those other boards don't sponsor us! i am so EFFED. some body needs to bash me now |

While they were not the best at checking the bike before I left (non-working signals and 15 lbs of air in both tires), I had no problem leaving with my 08' R for $6200 OTD. The 09' R was $6700... I think the R model is a few hundred dollars over the CR even... They seamed eager to get rid of them all. I dealt with Dave Cogle. |

This should be posted in the classifieds, bro...plain and simple,Smooth. Or create a thread for bikes people randomly see at dealers while having their bike serviced. |

@Fresnobuell So someone is supposed to post a classified ad offering to sell a bike that they don't own because they saw the bike at a dealer who doesn't pay Badweb for advertising? Wow, that's some interesting logic. |

I see what Fresno is getting at, perhaps there should be a thread dedicated to just this kind of thing for now. As for Seminole, weren't they a sponsor back in the day? Sucks how things change over the years. |

Be careful what and how you say NOOBS. If in doubt please re-read the terms of service. BadWeB has been an unbeatable resource for Buell owners and enthusiasts for a long time. Those of us that have enjoyed it would like to keep it that way. WE police ourselves for the most part, please be receptive to input... or leave. Zack |

6k hmm. They had a black one tagged sold the time I was in there. I had a good laugh when a couple from one club was looking at an 08 with a fairing kit installed. He was sitting on it getting that feel and probably imagining the ride when "Ahem...... Ahem (louder) Where am I supposed to sit? Startled out of his day dream he looked up from the bike to her, then around behind him to the seat cover. Tried lifting it off to see if there was a seat there. Turned back to the wife and shrugged. I told her she might find the Uly's passenger accomodations more to her liking. I could have probably sold every model on the floor that day. Not my job though. One salesman gave them some attention a few minutes later. In all fairness it was a event day. Dyno day or something like that with lots of people and clubs. Joe, your just trying to tempt me.Black cr with high bars. That's just cruel. lol Hmm... cr to go with the cityx? Start buying in bulk to reduced the fuel costs per bike coming to pick'em up. |

@Zac4mac: I've been on this board longer than you have, so watch who you call "NOOB" "WE police ourselves for the most part, please be receptive to input... or leave. " Perhaps you need to reread the terms of service: "If I have a problem with content that is posted to the discussion forum, I will notify a BadWeB custodian; I will not confront either on the board or via private message or other means, the author of the post I find problematic. I will allow the BadWeB custodian(s) to address and respond to the issue." In the area of what's acceptable with regards to discussions of product availability and pricing, the only rule is: "Absent permission from a board custodian, I will refrain entirely from the promotion and/or marketing of commercial merchandise or other similar/competing web sites." To me, that means that if I start building and selling luggage racks for Buells, I can't offer them for sale in the forums on Badweb, put up posts extolling their virtues, link to my web site where I sell them, etc. That seems fair, because this is a for-profit business by Blake and he makes income from selling advertising. That should be the extent of it. But there seems to have been an evolution of some unwritten rule that goes something like 'I will refrain from mentioning any deal offered by a non-sponsor except in those cases where it would be viewed as acceptable for reasons that are not defined." Someone caught a huge load of fecal matter for starting a thread about a non-sponsoring HD dealer was closing out Buell apparel ($15 for a $75 MSRP sweatshirt, $20-$30 for a $90 MSRP jacket, etc.). No sponsor offered any similar deal. The guy who started this thread about a lone 1125R at a Florida dealer has gotten flak for it yet there is a 300+ message thread about where people bought 1125R/CR motorcycles, how much they paid, and how many bikes were still at those dealers. Another thread mentioned that non-sponsor Walmart had Buell 1125R models for sale for $7. There was an entire thread about where one could find cheaper oil filters -- and none of the sources appeared to be sponsors. Another similar thread was started for the O-rings associated with the oil filter. Multiple people have recommended the T-Rex Racing pit stands even though they are not a sponsor and sell directly from their web sites. It's pretty obvious to me why people think that they are posting something perfectly acceptable and are then surprised when they are chastised for it. I don't see any distinction in the rules between mentioning deals at sponsors and non-sponsors. Do you? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/disc us.cgi?pg=instructions#rules I think at lot of this confusion comes from people playing self-appointed custodian and making up, and twisting, rules as they go. P.S. There's also some kind of unwritten rule about never mentioning the most popular tuning software for the 1125R/CR and the firm's name is even filtered out if you enter it (resulting in silly spellings and ways around the filter). |

I know of a Buell dealer in Idaho that has a bunch of Buells, all types, including my old one. PM me and then it won't be an infringement of sponsoring dealers, if so then delete this post. |

To: Fresnobuell, I wasn't aware you owned the site? I see no problem with these postings since inventory is getting low and most people can't ship a bike from a sponsor to there house as it doesn't make financial sense to do so in most cases. But ultimately the decision isn't up to me, its up to court. (Message edited by danxb9r on November 17, 2009) |

The only reason I have my 1125R is because of a post on a blog. Exchanging information like this, given the bikes are of limited qty, is quite valuable. No I don't want somebody pawning 47 sets of bar end mirrors but updates on the occassional good deal I would think should be welcomed. dave |

First: Thank you to Boca_g for so generously passing on the information about the dealer with the 1125R. They so that no good deed goes unpunished, and this thread is certainly proof of that. Second: The post is not in violation of any of the published rules. It's an informational post: Dealer X has increasingly rare Item Y in stock and this is who to talk with. If you have an 1125R already and this kind of post bothers you, then go to your bike, start it up, and go for a ride. Sitting in front of your computer and getting angry that other people are paying less than you paid is not helping you or anyone else. |

then let me apologize in advance for http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/515126.html?1258481944 No, wait. Screw it. Some people just can't be pleased; " ....Harley dealers screwed Buell, Harley dealers don't want to sell Buell, I was treated badly when I walked in a Harley dealer with a chip on my shoulder.... " So we have some dealers on BWB aggressively trying to move product to the people who appreciate it and we happen to post in a manner, or at a location that doesn't suit someone, and now that is wrong too. Oh well. If you don't like the post described by the Subject line, don't read it just like you can choose not to wave a Harley rider. (Message edited by Jammin_Joules on November 17, 2009) |

My rule of thumb goes like this: If the poster isn't going to have a monetary gain from the post, no harm. Now if the poster was making and selling item "X" and trying to advertise it here, making a personal monetary gain, then yes, that would be wrong (without sponsorship). Yes, it's a fine line between posting parts/bikes from non sponsor dealerships and those that do sponsor. That's where the sponsoring dealerships need to step up, as many have, and promote their goods and services over those non sponsoring shops. |
