Gave up on getting the stock mirrors where I wanted them, and got some Rizoma bar-end mirrors. Then I held my breath, pulled all the cables out of the way, and drilled holes in the headlight trim for these LED signals. Fairly stealth, all told: http://gallery.me.com/kevin_stevens/100073/IMG_015 1/web.jpg?ver=12579926530001 http://gallery.me.com/kevin_stevens/100073/IMG_014 8/web.jpg?ver=12579925620001 http://gallery.me.com/kevin_stevens/100073/IMG_015 0/web.jpg?ver=12579926220001 Oh, and someone was asking what the CR looked like without passenger pegs - here's no pegs and the EvoTech tail tidy: http://gallery.me.com/kevin_stevens/100073/IMG_015 2/web.jpg?ver=12579926860001 Yeah, I gotta get rid of those strips. Give me another couple of weeks! KeS |

Do you have handle bars or clubmen bars ? Those mirrors fit non Tapered ends ? Was the install easy ? Looks great ! |

Those are the clubman bars. The mirrors clamp on a bar end, those are whatever was cheap from Cycle Gear. The only install problem is that the mirrors use a 3/16" allen to tighten them, and I didn't have any SAE allen wrenches. KeS |

Dead sexy. THat's the last thing for me. Did you use the Rizoma bar ends, or some other brand? R |

"whatever was cheap from Cycle Gear" I have some ASV levers coming, black with the red adjusters. I don't usually spend money on bike levers, but the reach to the clutch on the 1125 is just too long for comfort for me. KeS |

I have a friend who has those Motrax turn signals on his CBR. They are worthless during the day. (Message edited by kidder on November 12, 2009) |

I consider front signals to be almost worthless in any case, so it wasn't a consideration for me. I agree about the brightness. KeS |

love those mirrors, I have the round version. BTW Rizoma is Italian, all the Rizoma stuff I have is Metric. Ok, good point. Let me correct myself. These are not "Rizoma" brand mirrors. I was using that as a catch-all for the bar-end mirrors of that size and shape. I looked at the Rizoma mirrors, and in trying to locate a cheaper alternative, I found four sources for what appear to be exactly the same component. One is the Rizoma "Reverse Retro": http://www.rizoma.com/Prodotti/ProdottiUniversal.c fm?ID_categoria=1&IDSez=1 The next is the Triumph bar end for the Speed Triple: http://www.pure-triumph.com/products/950?utm_sourc e=GoogleBase&utm_medium=Feed&utm_campaign=GoogleBa se Then there is the Motrax Mini Reversible Bar End Mirror: http://www.motrax.co.uk/index.php?mod=product&id_p rd=238 And finally there is a vendor selling mirrors on eBay that look the same. I bought the ones from the vendor on eBay, because a) the Rizomas were too expensive, b) I didn't want "Triumph" etched into my Buell mirrors, c) I hoped the eBay ones might be larger than the Motrax ones (they aren't). So no, I don't have Rizoma mirrors and I apologize for any confusion. KeS (Message edited by kevin_stevens on November 12, 2009) |

Oh no problem at all. I just didnt want you to go out and buy new tools that you didnt need! How do you like the mirrors? Are they well made? Nice and solid while riding? I have the class retro on my R. I love them, look amazing and they are rock solid. I took them off the xb, they go good with it, but I like your style better for the R. Flows with the bike better and they are black. I might move them back to the xb, and get a set like yours. Can you give a link to the ebay store? Or at least what they were listed as? Thanks, Jay |

They are indeed very solid, MUCH more so than the stockers, and fairly nicely made. I wish they were a bit larger, is all. I also found that they work best as I have them, rotated in over the grips. If you rotate them out, they point too directly to the rear, and you don't pick up the cars in the next lane over. Rotated in the view is close to perfect for the size. Oh, and also, my clutch lever *just* hits the base of the mirror at full pull. It's a non-issue for me since I'm replacing the lever, otherwise I'm sure I could adjust the bar-end clamp location to clear it. It's only 1-2mm. Search for item #250522016326 KeS |

Looks like I will be doing something similar as I came out to a knocked over bike this morning. Left mirror snapped off, handle bar bent, left rear signal snapped, also swingarm scratched. The mirrors sucked and I wanted knew ones, also I had already ordered the high bars. Still not a great morning. |
