Here is the thread. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 508903.html?1258088790 The BadWeb can be very difficult to navigate and I missed out on a lot of stuff because I just did not know where to find it. Once you get used to it then it becomes easy. I have been having problems with the search function at times. Try doing a search on "de-noid"... You get 50 threads telling you to do a search!!! I did not look at your profile to see where you are at but the Storm Fronts is all the Buell groups with some events. It is a fun place. Sometimes it is hard for some of us crusty old timers to figure out that people may not know what Homecoming or other Buell related stuff is. I never got a chance to go (I was deployed a lot) to Homecomig until the 25th (2008) and it was a blast. I would not miss them now. They will of course change a bit but there is nothing better than hanging around with a bunch of "free thinkers" on Buells. Have fun. |

Frank, can you give me the highlights? There's a lot of posts in a not so user frindly format!! Where is the homecoming? I won't ask for a date, but will it be spring, summer or fall? |

Yes, 1100 miles of Interstate for me. I got lucky and spent the night in NE with Buellhusker and we had a fantastic ride to East Troy on back roads despite me trying to share a lane with a car at 0 Dark thirty in NE. I think the dates discussed were 16 - 20 June. I am really looking forward to seeing my friends and making new ones. |

I'd love to make a vacation out of it, but I only get 10 days a year. And I'd like to spend a few of those days "vacationing" with my kids. We'll figure something out. If there's a will, there's a way!! |

I've ridden further for a cheeseburger. Homecoming is worth it. Oh, and Buelltoberfest is in your back yard, no excuses there. |

Thats what I did coming home from Buelltoberfest. My normal two 450 mile days turned into three days and something like 1200 miles total. Saw many great sites and unusual things, like a cow crossing a street and a clean Waffle House. |

When I did the ride from NYC to West Virginia for dinner . . . I just wandered. The way I do it is that every time I hit a road with a speed limit about 40mph, I turn off. . . residential street, backroad or whatever . . I just go on the compass at that point. I also turn for ANY road with MOUNTAIN anywhere in it's name . . this is the reason I've been having so much trouble getting to Vermont for chili. I was heading up Route 17 and saw a side "Mountain View Road" and spent the next 8 hours riding up and down the mountain. I'll try again. |

Froggy, You're hardcore. I have a buddy who is a pilot and I know he and some of his friends will fly that far for a cheesburger, but I don't think they'd attempt it on land. |

Vacation and "with kids" don't belong together. |

Should I have gotten a Uly instead of a CR? Are there any Ulys still out there? |
