I have a 1125r and it just turned 200 miles. I have been keeping within the limits on break in but on 2 different occasions I have went too open it up thinking I have 2000 too 2500 rpm left before I hit the 6000 rpm limit and it cuts out like I hit the rev limiter. Is this a safety feature of break in or do I have something too worry about. This happened in 3rd gear I believe both times. I just want to ride the damn thing my next day off I am riding it until break in mileage is over. | ||

It's the noid, do a search for noid removal. | ||

the best break in that i have found is ride with like you stole it, change the oil. The big thing is make sure you never hold a constent rpm for too long | ||

but will it stop doing that after the break in period? Also how long is too long. I live in an area where most speed limits are 35. I thank you for your responses. | ||

Speed doesn't matter, engine speed does, so vary the rpms by up shifting or down shifting. The solenoid will kick in anytime you give it to much throttle in 3rd gear below a certain rpm. It's not a break in nanny, it's an emissions device. | ||

if its still cold the engine will automatically cut it off at i believe 7500 but maybe around 6is to, just warm it up and, RIDE IT LIKE A 2 DOLLAR HOOKER  hahaha Jake | ||

I always wait for the cold indication too go away before I ride it. If I ask at the dealer they wont take that thing off will they. I am not mechanically inclined. | ||

Vic, I doubt the dealer would do it. You don't have to be mechanically inclined to fix the noid 'feature' ... If you have the resistor pack (plug in), it's just taking off the front seat, disconnecting the noid's cable, and popping the plug in. What you are describing (if it is always in 3rd gear) is the noid function. You want to disable that thing!! Mike | ||

I guess I will wait until after my break in period and see how often it effects me then. It is now simply because I am trying too comply with this 6000 rpm limit. Otherwise I would still be in second at this rate of speed. | ||

Just avoid this combination: 3rd gear 4850 rpm(say 4700-5000)look at the neck label. WFO throttle Zack | ||

Would you want someone without any experience to take your bike to 10k rpm straight out of the dealer floor? I think we've all seen the videos of squids taking the bikes out of the dealer and wrecking... | ||
