is the dyno below sea level... Inside a cooler... Filled with oxygen and nitrous? That's awesome lol |

VERY generous dyno. Don't mean to piss on your parade, but those numbers are really,REALLY high for a stock machine,(even for a tuned machine) |

Those can't be rear wheel numbers. |

Just think what the numbers will show revved PAST 7500rpm break-in |

What flash do you have? Can you post the chart? |

Well the dyno is pretty accurate say what you want, but another 1125 made 133 hp with 2000 miles on it. I was told by a good source that I won't name and throw under the bus that he's seen a 10hp difference in these 1125s from guys who broke them easy to guys who rode them hard right from the get go. Guess how I rode mine. and here are a few more numbers that are right inline with what the should be. My Buddys 08 busa with pipe and map mad 186 which is really accurate my SV 650 made 64hp which is right where it should be. my ZX 14 made 184 with pipe and map. so the dynos pretty good. Made 2 more runs on the CR and they where 137 and 136. |

flash 141 and it is starting to pick back up, think it just needed to learn afv's. nice striaght hp curve the is a dip in the TQ at about 7500 goes from about 72 ft lbs down to 68 ft lbs then by 8500 it's up to the 74. I can try and take a picture of it and post it but I don't have a scanner. |

How did you break it in? |

I'm not going to lie, HARD. bike had 34 miles on it when I picked it up. turned out of the dealer onto the highway and took it to redline thru 4th gear before I decided I did not want a ticket. went on a ride the next day with 3 or 4 Busa's and did a bunch of 2nd gear thru 5th gear roll ons with a couple of them. one guy is 240 lbs and has an 08 busa with slip-ons and I could be a bike ahead untill we got to the top of 4th and into 5th he would drive around me and pull away. now a take it to red line a few times everytime I ride it. I've been breaking in one or two bikes a year like this for awhile. and all those bikes see 1/4 mile racing and my bikes always run good mph which is a sign of hp. Here is something interesting my first zx 14 I bought new and had it to the track with 8 miles on it. that bike always ran 153 mph in the 1/4. my next 14 I bought used with 600 miles on it and the guy said he had never had it above 6000 rpms. well now this one is .10 slower and only runs 149.89 for mph. set up the same as my first one. Not everyone will agree but if you want them to run hard. ride them hard. |

Actually when i first bought my 1125 a guy i met at the track saw my bike and asked how i was going to break it in (it was new on the trailer). He then commented about the MAX hp method which was basically run the piss out of the bike in short burst.... Let it warm up and go like hell for 30 min or so, let it cool and then do it all over again. he swore it made more power for his other bikes and he was picking up a CR himself in a few days.. Maybe's there some logic behind this... Seat those rings GOOD. I know on my mustang i would drive it long enough to make sure there were no problems, no leaking fluid, verify the boost and then let er rip... that little 4 pot made 430+whp (Message edited by Justa4banger on November 04, 2009) |

So were you doing tuning by some method (what?) on the dyno, or were those just baseline/breakin runs that were improving? Tx. KeS |

No tuning. first run was the highest. made 4 runs and as bike got heat soaked numbers came down alittle bit lowest was 137.05. just want a baseline for when I put a pipe on it. |

I've not had mine dyno'd yet, but it feels REALLY strong to me. Fueling is good, motor feels strong. I'm afraid to do anything to it. It's the best bike I've ever had as delivered. Every bike I've ever had I had to put on a PowerCommander (or re-jet if carbed) or a race ECM. The CR is perfect, spot on, everywhere above 3000rpm. |

I agree to me the bike feels and runs like a 138 hp bike not a low 120 hp bike. |

so the hard break in is showing better performance numbers, correct? |

Does on my bikes, always has. 4 mph and .10 difference in the 1/4 and I make hundreds of passes a year. so I'm not going off of 1 run. |

William: Yep that's the reality. Actually, the difference is probably so small that it could not be detected on the dyno. Too many variables masking those small differences. |

there's enough HP difference in 4 mph and .10 that it is easy to see on the dyno. Like I said someone that alot guys think his product is killer for the buell is who said he's seen 10 hp difference from break in procedures. but I will leave it at that. |

CC are you saying that .10 and 4 mph is small differences? |

Brent: No I'm not saying that in the 1/4 that 0.10 sec and 4mph is insignificant. What I said, was that it would be hard for a dyno to pick up the differences b/t two identical bikes that the only difference was how they were broken in. I break my bikes in by the MotoMan method for the same reasons he states, ring sealing. Small changes during dyno runs by the operator, bike set up, time of day, blower speed etc will make enough difference to make it very difficult to compare dyno runs even on the same bike. Throw in day-to-day differences and all the other variables between bike "1" and bike "2" and dyno runs are a relative measure not an absolute measure. TIme2Ride Neil S. |

I'm taking mine in tomorrow to get the 141 flash, maybe I'll have them dyno it. How many miles is on your bike? I'm at about 350 and I beat the piss out of it. |

Maybe its in STD correction factor. Seen quite a lot of dyno sheets around here with that CF |

CC would not be hard to see 10 hp difference on the dyno if that's what is really happing to these 1125s not saying it is but could be. |
