I can't weigh much over 150 lbs in full gear. Using the settings in the manual isn't working for me at all. Besides the ride feeling rough, it's also hard to hold a line. Any other light weights? What have you found to work? I did a search and found lots of threads about suspension. I'm still trying to figure out how to measure sag. My xb9 was planted in turns, but that bike had a completely different riding position, even with crossroads bars on it. |

I also weight less than 150 fully geared. I was never able to get the sag set for any of my bikes other than Honda RC51 (fork & shock springs changed for my weight). The springs were simply designed to haul more weight. Unless you change the springs for the shock/fork, I doubt you'll be able to optimize the sag for your weight. What you can do is carry 20lb plate under the seat. |

If you have a pre July 2008 build then the springs are almost certainly too siff for you. |

I weigh 120# and had to readjust my settings too, as it was somewhat stiff. Dan, my hubby did the following settings and it seemed to help: front preload 5 front compression 2 1/4 front rebound 2 1/4 rear preload 1 rear compression 24 rear rebound 2 |
