I bought my '09 red CR last week.I finally got a chance to go pick it up yesterday after work.I got a coworker to take me to my dealer in Austin to get it.I had to pull off of I35 and sort out some issues.I parked under a light at 6TH under I35 so I could read my manual to find out how to light up my instrument cluster. That's when I first noticed the gualkers.I've had some nice stuff but I've never messed with any car or bike that gets looks like this.I know it has nothing to do with noise because it has the stock pipe.It it because it's such a pretty red?Do the white or black bikes draw this much attention?I don't give a rats behind what anyone thinks about anything I own......But I gotta say it's pretty cool how much attention this thing gets!Anyone else notice this? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2493/4061152210_9f7 db86aa4_o.jpg |

I just put a Jardine RT-5 carbon on my red CR. The things is loud so I pull into a gas station and put it in nuetral. EVERYONE at the gas stopped and stared at the bike. That was awesome. They were probably thinking "what the hell kind of bike is that" and "damn that thing is loud". That's my first Buell story. |

They probably think you are an alien and that's your spaceship, lol. I've got the same bike and have gotten some strange looks while i'm at the gas station or just riding beside a car. I got the same looks on the xb9 though, but it had a drummer so.......... |

Yeah, ain't it nice! I even get the "stare" from the LEO's around here. Then I get that double take when they see the gray beard and hair, then the conversation starts! |

Ran errands on my R Thursday and got hit by three people that wanted to cover every aspect of it. I like my bike but this will get old if it doesn't stop. |

Sitting at 7-11 on my black R tonight a spectator walks up and ask if bike was a R6 raven (Yamaha). I said no,It's a Buell Raven slayer. He said "a what, looks great"turned walked away. Most looks for me when rolling down the hgwy. and people speed up to take a look. |

Pull up at a coffee shop on my 9R. Bunch of Harley boys come over to check it out. One says, "British bikes are okay." I'll never be as cool as coffee shop Harley boys. At the half-way point of my 2 hour loop is a variety store. Stop there for a bite/drink most times. One time an old guy came from out back, "Heard me a nice old Sportster but I don't see it." Showed him the Bar and Shield on the rear cylinder. He just stares at my bike every time now. |

When I tell people the XB has a Harley engine in it they usually have the look of disbelive. About the R I say nothing about Harley, makes me feel better. |

I've had several run-ins w/ the local go-slow-bros here and they hate my bike. They think the x1 is a spaceship! My dad had a shovelhead and his buddies have harleys also. They don't understand buells.. My dad likes eggin them on and I smoke em on the x1 and then they wanna know all about it. His friends now like the enthusiasm! I edged a busa stoplight to stoplight and they did all the trash talkin at the bar. He wanted to know what it was. My response?... 'America' lol |

Welcome to the world of owning/riding a Buell. Could not believe while in Yosemite last summer - oriental tourists were photographing my XB12Ss with Buell saddle and tail bags, Cee Bailee wind screen and fishing pole sticking up like an antenna. Another guy on the same trip walked over and swore the bike had to be European because he had a Ducati once said it was beautiful. EVERY time I gas up I get compliments. From the young kid on the rice burner to the old lady who says its cute & asks if I get good gas mileage- got as much as 68mpg on that trip. Enjoy what it feels like to be something of a rock star. |

Ever since I traded my Super Glide for the R. The people I work with cant believe it. Some dont like it some do. The biggest part I like is when the old timers that come into the Harley shop stare at it and say "the more I look at it the more I like it, whats it like and I wish was a little younger and could handle it , nice machine"! I picked up my BLACK 1125CR yesterday and on the way home I was at a traffic light behind a pick-em-up truck. The driver of the pick-em-up truck must've heard the bike or something because I noticed him look in his side rear view mirror. He was holding on a conversation with his passenger, but he kept looking in his side rear view mirror every couple of seconds, sometimes for fairly long periods of time. So, yeah, it happens with the black CR too- 1313 |

I know my black CR catches me off-guard every time I look at it. Can't decide if I'm just not used to it being in the garage yet...or if I still can't believe I bought a black bike (I HATE cleaning stuff!)...or if its because of the line from Spinal Tap that keeps going through my head: "it's just....blaaacck" (followed by the "but, these go to eleven" line every time I twist that right grip and watch the speedo climb in chunks of 4 or 5 mph, LOL. Once I can tach past 6k....I'm sure the chunks will get larger Haven't had it out long enough to get a stare on it though (still only 59 miles on the odo). I'm a wimp - the weather has been crappy, I have no intention of riding a new-to-me, unfamiliar bike on wet leaves if I can help it...and my heated grip kit isn't in yet. Waaah. |

The best one for me was when I was parked in a group of about 15 red DUCATI'S most of which were of the 1098 origin, and EVERYONE that walked by didnt even glance at the ducati's they where entranced(so it seemed) by my (08') 1125r hahaha I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!! Jake P.S.- it got better when the ducati guys came out and noticed no one looked at their bikes, even when they fired them up with the full Termi systems hahaha |

Throw on a translucid air box cover and see what happens. People seeing "air" where the gas should be really gets the puzzled look of the day award. And if it's parked they'll come over a tap on it. |

picked mine up yesterday, put 150 KMs on it, got lots of looks and fingerpointing. People really seem to like the look of it. Drove it 100Kms today. Same thing. I love the feel of this bike and the styling as well. Great choice so far |
