I have one of these for my xb12ss and it has helped out so much. Still looks cool and gives more wind protection than the stock setup. I have been up to 130 with it on. I emailed the company to see if they had one for the 1125CR and they don't. However, he said he would make one if he had an 1125CR to work with. Does anybody live near SoCal? Leo from Laminar products response: We'll need to find someone local to us that has that same bike to stop by and offer a few "fitting" hours before we have a product for it. That hasn't occurred as of yet. By chance, are you local to Southern California? If so, give us a call. Toll free 866.540.5679. -- Leo info@laminarlip.com Someone please contact this guy if you are able to lend your bike for a few hours. Also, who else wants one of these? http://www.laminarlip.com/lightning.jpg http://www.laminarlip.com/xbs.php |

Ha. I spoke to Leo about creating the Lip for the XBS years ago. Get him a bike, he'll build it. |

I'm in SoCal. Where are they? I'd kind of be surprised if their product worked well on that vertical flyscreen, though. I had one on my K1200RS and it was great. KeS |

Hmm. Santa Ana. A ways north, but I'll drop them a line and see what they need. KeS |

It would be great if they could get this made - My CR is great on the street, but on the track I could use a little more wind protection and this thing would be the hot ticket for that. |

I loved my Laminar Lip on the XB. Probably the best mod I did on that bike. Makes life MUCH more bearable on the highway. |

I used the Lip for about 20,000 miles on my XB. No issues to report. |

I'd buy one also. I've got the high bar kit, but I've been unsure about installing it due to the extra windblast. |

I've used them on a number of bikes I've owned. The lips work really well. I've thought about getting a local plastics company to try to mold me something for the CR. The world is good till 90mph, then I start getting gorilla arms. |

I had one on my XB12Ss, and I agree it was well worth it. After trading it for the new CR, I am missing that extra little protection. |

I'm interested too. Once I saw this: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/433719.html we should ask to Al_lighton of American Sport Bike if he has any news. I Would be very happy with a removable extra windschield for highway transfers. Maybe some strong suction pads.. |

I would like one as well, I e-mailed Leo and got the same response. |

LOL, why didn't you guys just buy a Uly. Clean air baby, Clean air.... enough said! |

The Uly doesn't have that engine in it. The Standard Uly screen might just work, would have to do some drilling but nothing else, behind the screen would be clear to do that. Good Idea Palmer. |

LOL, why didn't you guys just buy a Uly. Have you ridden an 1125? That's why, lol. Seriously, though - I don't like the looks of the 1125R fairing, so I got the CR - but trackday speeds are little over the top on the CR once you get past 130 or so, so I'd love to have something like this just for the track. |

I own a CR, had the Uly as well as an M2 and a X1. I also owned an 04' Z1. Clean air is great, but like you said after 130 it becomes a fight. On my CR I have hit 135, but I have the Clubman bars. I didn't get any of the push like I did on the Z1 or the Buells. Good luck with the windscreen... "Ah scary" IMO. (Message edited by slowride on October 29, 2009) |

With the clubman bars the CR is a good ride a 100mph (in italy our speed limit is 130kmh, but on highway it's normal to ride even @ 140-150kmh), far better than the xb anyway. But for long highway rides I would like a windscreen, but witout drilling nothing. A pop-up windscreen is the best option for me. |

Slow - 135 is turbulent but doable on a CR. I was hitting 150 on the straight on NJMP lightning a few weekends ago and it was hard to laugh uncontrollably in my helmet as I tried to reach for redline in 6th with my chin bar being smashed into my mouth, lol. |

The Uly is a great adventure bike, but it's got a lot more weight, a lot less horsepower, and, although great handling, not as great as the 1125CR. |

When you're a sasquatch like me, it gets interesting at around 90mph, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE naked unfaired bikes. No wind buffeting, and lots of cool air in the summer. |

I've used their stuff for a number of years and it's excellent. Even adapted a Uly screen to my XR650L. I would be interested in a screen for my CR. Only thing I've seen is a carbon fiber unit from Germany. http://www.motosupply.com/product_info.php?product s_id=1449&osCsid=eeb8e236570b34730e364d7865667a2c |

Palmer, I love your stuff buddy. I purchased the palmer brackets for my Uly. You can see it in my profile picture. If you build it, they will buy it. Micah |

So, I talked to Josh just now; we're going to try to set up a time in the next few weeks for me to come up and let them get their measurements done. Sounds like they might do a single run at that point, as they don't see longterm sales obviously. KeS |

I'm not fronting any buys - heaven forbid I get in trouble with TPTB around here, and I don't want one anyway. I'm just the guy supplying the bike for measurement. KeS |

Kevin, I live in North Orange County and Laminar is about a half hour from my house. I have an 09 CR and could ride by, unless you WANT to ride up here. Your choice. |

Hmm, I don't see my previous post: Sure, if you're local, by all means contact Andy or Leo at Laminar and go by for measurements. They said they don't need the bike for an extended period or overnight, just to make a few measurements. I didn't particularly want to go up there myself, was just trying to help out. KeS |
