How is the heat from engine/frame sitting in traffic on the CR compared to riding an XB? I'm seriously considering picking one up. |

I noticed more heat on my CR than my XB. Still not enough to be of concern. |

If your CR isn't tuned correctly, it'll be overly warm by the time summer gets back. Do yourself AND the water pump a big favor. Wrap the header with ceramic tape. I've got two layers on my CR. The rear header is just too intiment with the water pump. And the front header is VERY close to the right side radiator. Not a good idea. With both my CR and XB12R headers wrapped, both tuned correctly, they were very close heat wise in the So. Cal. summer heat. That is until I put the right side scoop on the XB. Now the XB is MUCH cooler than the CR. So.....I bought some foam to carve out a "left side" scoop for my CR to help cool the rear of the engine, fuel pump, frame (tank), etc. Mike |
