What is the silver box attached with 2 screws to the subframe under the left side of the seat? Its got 2 thick wires coming out of it. |

That would be the voltage regulator. It is bolted to a large plate of aluminum welded to the sub-frame to dissipate heat. Z |

Can i mount it on inside of the subframe OUTSIDE the undertray next to the shock but under the seat. Is it waterproof?? |

harleys have them outside can i do the same to our voltage regulator?

Shouldn't make any difference. Very important tho to keep at LEAST the same heatsink capability or you will literally burn out the regulator. Notice the fins on the HD regulator? Z |
