I got spoiled on my ST1300, put the key in a quick twist and it pops open. Now on the XB or the 1125 you have a large gas cap with your keys to manage while you are trying to dispense fuel into your "tank". I have a "screw nub" from my RAM mount that I hang mine from during fueling. What does everyone else do?????? Just color me curious Neil. |

Stick in under the windscreen above the IC. Stays put, frees my hands and I never loose it. |

Put it on top of the pump. Hard to lose it with the key. |

Guess you never have run into a pump that doesn't have a top on it. It was a REAL PITA to get my gloves out of that pump enclosure! That cured me from placing anything on top of a pump. Don't you have some gas drip off your cap on your IC? Mine would. Neil S. |

This is one thing I find annoying with the bike. I prefer the flip-up of just about every other sport bike. Pretty easy to live with, though. I usually just stick it on the pump. With the key in it, no chance of riding off without it. ac |

I put my gas cap on my gloves on top of my seat. The gloves keep it from sliding off onto the ground, and there's zero chance that I'm going to lose or forget the cap. Daily riding means my gloves get worn out after about a year anyway, so a few drops of unleaded on them is no big deal to me. |

I the bars to the left, and set it between the bars and clutch MC and IC. Little nest that it sits in O.K. on the CR. R |

With gloves off in my lap, gas nozzle in right hand, Cap in left. Not super eco-friendly but I usually shake the nozzle towards the ground first to get any left over drops out before filling. |

I flip it upside down and put the tab in between the head light housing and the left side of the Front fairing mount. I don't take my gloves off and stay on the bike. |

I've always placed it on the seat. Never had a problem with it sliding off. |

Looks like some posts got lost when the server crashed. I assume that's what happened this morning. BadWeB was down for several hours. I put a ball compass on my bars and the cap fits between it and the keyswitch. Hmmm can't upload pix yet... Must still be working on it. THANK YOU Blake... Z |

Sorry for the hijack Ccryder but Zac, can you access the main forum yet? I still cannot. Blake or Court, you guys on today? Is there a way to fix this on my end or is it on the forum's end? Anybody? Sundays afternoon ride is in and I'd like to catch up on BadWeb reading a little. |

Bob_thompson, everything was back to normal as of a few hours ago. If you still cannot reach the other pages, hit the refresh button on your browser. About a days worth of posts was lost, but things have been put in place to prevent this from happening again. I put my cap on the gas pump. |

Wow! I'm surprised to find nobody else does this. I turn it upside down and place it on top of the throttle and the brake lever. I've never seen any gas drip off of it because its upside down and with the bike on its stand, its level and the key and cover hold it in place. The fact that it comes off doesn't even bother me anymore. |

This is how I hang mine: I always fuel on the bike. With my 140 mile round trip commute each day, I fuel 1x per day. Guess that's why I have 26,000+ miles in 15 months. Can't imagine filling up every few days much less every few weeks! Later Neil S. |

My Uly would be good for 2 days with your commute Oh, and having 3 bikes make it easier to not fill up every day. |

My ST1300 could go every other day but it has 7.3 gal. Z is it adult diaper time ;}. Yep the STOC come in handy, I still want some BWB but I understand the issues. Maybe room for 1 or 2 more electronics, but I don't need/ have 2 sat radios. Time4Breakfast |
