Humm....Uly pegs....high bars....now...figure out something on the seat and I'm getting close to my 1125 Uly. |

When uprights became standard, the model should've changed to 1125S.
Vanvideo. I hate the upright bars. I loved the cafe-racer styling of the CR. I'd definitely get an '09 instead of a '10.
I agree, the clubman bars made the bike. How many mass-produced bikes have clubman bars as standard? Leave it to Erik to break the mold. Or, rather did...
Must of been all the crybabies that complained to Buell.. 
It's too uncomfortable, bars are too forward.. lol
No way I would pay extra to have the clubman bars. I would have gone with another bike. Just glad that I got the 09 model. hehe |

Yeah, they got my tear-stained memo and acted on it.  I do wonder why the 2010 option for the clubman bars still includes cables. I would think the excess cable could be tucked away. |

The clubman bars look sexy as hell, but I couldn't stand them... The handling at low speeds and high lean scared the pi$$ out of me.
I just think it's great that we have a choice! That way the correct thinking ones like myself can have it our way, and the oddballs that like the clubman bars can have it theirs!

Reasonable people can disagree, but we've got the best of both worlds, all with factory parts!

If you can, buy the 2010. You'll be ahead of us all on all subjects still argued...
In fact, you might just ride that bike so much so and not have time to post! 
They (all years) are good motorcycles but the later the better...IMO. |

Is the 09 really quieter at idle in terms of engine noise than the 08's?
I heard a salesman say the 08 1125R was pretty noisy compared to the xb12. |

My 09 is pretty effing loud. Never heard it next to a 08 |

I have an 09' enigine in my 08', and before the 08' blew up it was ALWAYS noisy as hell!!
However the 09' is stunningly quieter, and WAY stronger in power throughout the entire rpm range...IMHO...to each their own
