I have not seen one yet on the 1125's. The RR frames, the best I can tell are not polished, they have a brushed finish. I've seen polished XB frames. I don't know if polishing the frame and grinding the welds smooth will affect the strength or leak proof integrity. Neil S. |

I thought about a polish/ brushed job but I wonder how it would effect my clothes . Look what the shifter does to your shoe. Leaves a gray haze . |

Yeah it would probably leave that same gray/ black mark on your pants unless you sealed it. But after a while you would rub off the sealant and it would look like the cases on a Japanese bike of the 70's. |

Put 3m over clear coat paint? It would save on wear that way. Maybe clear anodizing or powder coating? Then you can enjoy the brushed metal goodness. |

for clear coat, I would research this: http://www.por15.com/GLISTEN-PC/productinfo/GPCGG/ I have used these products, re-painted the exhaust with Black Velvet, works great. Most all this stuff is Mil Spec; some advice if you use it, get their remover, standard thinner/remover will not touch this stuff, and don't get it on you, the only way to get it off is to wear it off. |

Has anybody gotten any further than just thinking about it? I think the brushed metal on the rr looks fan-f'n-tastic. |

I have polished AL railings hand built at my house out of AL conduit, hand sanded, hand polished, and automotive clear coat. Very durable, very nice, still looks as good as day 1....4 years later. The clear powder could be an option as well, but I would do a test piece just to make sure it looks OK after....remember, you have to bake the frame at 400deg F for the powder to work. |

Just clear anodize the aluminum... It would come out in the same finish just without the color... the color is only a dye anyways.. its added during the anodizing process. Definitely don't leave the aluminum bare... it won't stay pretty for long... |

Be careful, those walls are thin. I mentioned doing this in front of a few folks from the factory, and they unanimously said "don't do it." |
