It looks like they are closer to $3.000 for the front forks and about $1,200 for the rear for the Buell. We'll see at Homecoming next year how many Buells arrive with Ohlins.

1200 for the rear shock is "reasonable". The penske is priced comparably, so that I can see. $3k for the forks, etc? I think I'd rather just put AK-20s in mine. Just as good, $2k less. And, for what it's worth, my track bike wouldn't show up at homecoming because it's not street legal. (Message edited by jdugger on July 21, 2009) |

I wonder if Buell will release that fairing and allow us to relocate the radiators like that. It looks awesome. |

It also looks like a really expensive tip over. |

I asked one of the mid ohio track day control riders (who was also a racer) about the Ohlins coming stock on the Ducati's, and if that helped him racing. His answer was along the lines of "heck yeah! I can pull those things off and sell them to clueless street riders for lots more then I can sell non Ohlins stock parts. That helps me pay for the proper race suspension tuned to my wieght, bike, track, and riding style." |

Here is information on the FMF slip on. This dyno run is with stock ecu (more power can be had with tuning) The slip-on comes with a quiet insert that slips in the front of the muffler. [/QUOTE] |
