yes this has been discussed. i suck at the search function and havent come up with what im looking for. my pads are shot, and also not up to the task they are really being asked to perform. so i need to come up with what im going to purchase pretty soon because there really isnt even enough pad left for me to ride the thing anymore. i plan on getting some bmc race pads for the front(unless someone has come up with a better hard track use solution). yes i will probably only run them on the track. but i also need to come up with a good heavy use street set(front and back)so i can even ride the thing, and even a good rear set for the track. by the time i got to the after noon session last month at blackhawk my brakes were not up to the challenge of me continuing to pick up the pace. i couldnt brake anywhere near as late as i wanted. heck i wasnt even bothering to shift into the next gear coming down the front straight because i knew id just have to brake right away to get it reigned in a little before the corner. then of course i have to decide on some more one purpose track oriented tires but thats another topic in itself because the corsa III's were not up to continuing the hunt either. |

You need two things: 1. A good quality brake pad. I use the EBC 4HH, but that's not the only option. 2. Put in quality fluid with a VERY HIGH boiling point. I went to the Motul Dot 4 that runs about $20 for a bottle (instead of $6 for the normal stuff) and my brake fade totally went away. |

What's the difference between the EPFA454/4HH and the FA454/4HH (front) pads besides roughly $30-40? Are they worth it for street use only? I've used the standard HH pads on a SV650 and they were extremely good. I just found the (standard?) HH pads as low as $38 but average around $55 and the ep-HH (extreme performance) pads are about $85-100. |

EBC "EXTREME PRO" PADS...we tried the BMC "race pads"..liked them...now running EBC "EXTREME PRO" pads ...like them..MOTUL race brake fluid.. The only weak part we see for racing is the master cylinder/and front rotor..for track days it should be fine JT |

I would guess that the "extreme" racing pad would actually be a worse choice for the street because you won't be getting them hot enough to really use them. |

1. A good quality brake pad. I use the EBC 4HH, but that's not the only option. so you are running the ebc hh's on the street and track? if so how are they holding up when put to hard track use? EBC "EXTREME PRO" PADS...we tried the BMC "race pads"..liked them...now running EBC "EXTREME PRO" pads ...like them..MOTUL race brake fluid.. so i am taking that as you would say the ebc extreme's are comparable to the buell race pads? i am trying to decide if i am going to just order a set of ebc's hh's for the front and back and then see how it holds up at the track with those or if i am also going to order a pair of the extreme pads for the front to use at the track. debating on trying the extreme pads on the street but just not sure i want to do that. plus i really dont have the cash to order 2 sets for the front and order a set for the rear. if i dont like the extremes on the street i would have to order a set of the hh's anyway... honestly i probably am going to have to break down and get a set of pads just for the track also. |

Don't know about street...bike never seen it...yes the "extreme pro" are a very good track/race pads .....I would say we like the EBC . And are going to run them again. The stock one are fair for track use...I think the EBC extreme would do just fine on the street |

> so you are running the ebc hh's on the street and track? if so how are they holding up when put to hard track use? I'm running the Extreme Pads on the track bike. I like them a lot. I go through a set roughly every front tire at Eagle's Canyon.... but that's a braking oriented track. At Cresson, they last longer. I run the stock pad on the street bike. It's fine there. |

No_rice,I would go with the Buell race rotor+EBC HH pads for street+some track use.I had the pro extreme-not good for street-great for track. |
