How do you bring back an archived thread? Why do they get archived so much? Will this board ever get upgraded to a decent format, like phpbb3 or smf or even something with a decent search function that doesn't archive threads so often? |

i think the search option works very well, even for the archive.. I've found a lot of informations in very old posts without problems. |

good lord i'd LOVE to see this site updated to something decent like phpbb (which is free) also - i have no idea how to quote on here, it shouldnt be that hard to quote someone on a forum. now i'll get a reply saying someting like 'this is _______ site, be happy its here, obey his rules blah blah blah' |

'this is _______ site, be happy its here, obey his rules blah blah blah' Excuse me but that is MY line! But since you got the gist of it, I will be moving on. |

The ONLY way an archived thread can be resurrected from the dead is if you ask one of the custodians to bring it back to life. If you post on an archived thread, it won't bring it back up. It's like peeing in a dark suit - it will give you a warm feeling but nobody will see it. |

Maybe I'm just simple-minded, but I kinda like this format. It reminds me of the old Motorcycle.com in structure. I don't even go there anymore cause I think the "modern" formats are a pain in the @$$. My $0.02. R |

If you use the "New Messages" search funtion, which is by far the optimum means to browse the site, you'll see all new posts, whether to archived threads or not. Same for any search. I've found the BadWeB search utility to be far superior to those of other forums. It provides more options and more utility. Then there is always the google search as well; google is tough to beat. If you want a thread resurrected from archives, just ask. I don't like the inability to automatically re-activate a thread, but for now, it was what it is. We're working on an upgrade. |

At the risk of sounding like a suck-up, Great Site. As always, IMHO. R |

I like this 1.0 @56k working forum. fascinating like the good ol' days of the web, when people just found good informations without emoticons, avatars and spam everywhere. The BWB it's actually the only place where people just write useful things in order to share what they now with other people. No bullshit here. |

Never really thought about it, but the fast thing is pretty significant... A realm of Ideas, where tapestries of the written word are brilliant in color, and blinding in intensity! Or something like that... R |

Out of all the forums I frequent, this one loads the fastest by 2-3x. That's not why I spend so much time here but, with Wild Blue Sat. Internet, it does make things a LOT faster. Hey Blake, what about another background color???? JK Neil S. |

PHPBB absolutely reeks! If anything, switch to Vbulliten, but still I am happy with discusware. |
