Bogus flag. Copyright infringement. Banned. Again. You'd think you'd learn by now. |

You can buy one thru your dealer. Our old one was tattered, so it got replaced. The tattered one is on the wall of my garage. Z |

so does this answer the question... Is this a Buell Site or a public forum? It makes no difference to me other than a clear understanding that explains the information flow/management, Are there any public Buell forums to aid in purchase research? |

so does this answer the question... Is this a Buell Site or a public forum? Neither. This is a moderated forum owned by an individual, and we are here as guests. There are no rules other than his. Not sure if I understand your question... What information are you seeking? Play Nice. R (Message edited by carbonbigfoot on July 14, 2009) |

I can't say I always agree with the way enforcement of rules here is done...However, policing/prohibiting the sale of illegal goods is typically not a bad thing. Especially when the same or similar product is available through BMC. |

Ducdood9 says... so does this answer the question... Is this a Buell Site or a public forum? It makes no difference to me other than a clear understanding that explains the information flow/management, Are there any public Buell forums to aid in purchase research? This is a Buell enthusiasts forum that is staunchly opposed to supporting illegal activity. If you wish to support illegal activity like theft, including theft of copyright, you should find another forum; BadWeB will never lower itself to your poor/unethical standards. In addition to the illegality issue, there are also our terms of use which expressly prohibit non-sponsors from marketing/advertising retail merchandise here. If you cannot understand that simple policy, then you should find another forum. We don't prohibit idiots from using BadWeB, but we don't much care for them. |

lol, I think we define unethical in different terms. Mine is comprehensively consistent through my life, not on who I like and don't like. |

The Rules Someone needs to re-read the rules me thinks: I am a Buell Motorcycle Enthusiast and wish to contribute positively to and participate thoughtfully in discussions on BadWeatherBikers.com (BadWeB)! I understand that BadWeB is a family-oriented open public community of Buell enthusiasts. By registering for participation in this Buell Motorcycle Enthusiasts' discussion board/forum I hereby agree to honor and abide by all of the following absolutely and in its entirety. Why it’s not a good idea to argue with the owner/custodians: I will honor without question, debate, or argument any/all custodian/admin request(s) concerning the content and/or decorum of my contributions on the forum. I realize that there is never any justification to violate this policy, and that if I do, I may forfeit my BadWeB posting privileges. Basically, the BadWeB custodians prefer to enjoy BadWeB rather than argue with indignant or disgruntled folks. Why it’s not a good idea to attempt what started this thread: Absent permission from a board custodian, I will refrain entirely from the promotion and/or marketing of commercial merchandise or other similar/competing web sites. Couple things to remember, from my perspective only: 1) It's Blake's sandbox that he lets us play in for FREE. 2) The "management" here does a pretty fine job, IMO, of keeping the place neat & tidy for all of us. They get a big "Thank You Very Much" from me for that. 3) If someone doesn't like it here, they're free to leave at any time and never come back. Now can we focus on the IMPORTANT stuff like the 1125RR that Taylor Knapp will be racing in AMA Superbike this weekend at Mid Ohio? |

So someone circumventing advertising rules and selling counterfeit stuff isn't unethical? |

Froggy Posted on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 - 02:16 pm: So someone circumventing advertising rules and selling counterfeit stuff isn't unethical? ________________________________ Yes it is. It just seems odd what is and what is't enforced compared to most forums. Yes I understand this is not a public forum and I should probably leave because even if I get a 1125 you get flamed if you mention recalls or poor dealer service. So I guess Buell is not for me. I wanted an American bike. The The selective editing and praise and flaming shows this is a factory/dealer/want to be dealer pet site and is a MAJOR turnoff as you can never tell what is fact and what is propaganda. The dumbing down of America continues. I'll go away, asta. PS not everyone here only repeats talking points and they give this place creditability. Unfortunately they are outnumbered by those that look for legal loopholes to describe something in a prettier light than true reality. I don't mean to be a smart ass but am saddened that this is the last gasp for American bikes. |

If you feel that way....... Later dood. You are looking through a very small "keyhole" and can't see the whole picture. But for 10+ years, there is plenty of information that just washes your story down the drain. Later Neil S. |

You lost me, I don't know what recalls and dealer service have anything to do with someone repeatedly making new accounts and trying to sell counterfeit flags. Also about your other point, you don't have to be a member of an online forum to own a vehicle. Just think back, what did they do 10 years ago before the internet was widespread? |

>>>Mine is comprehensively consistent through my life, not on who I like and don't like. That statement makes it sound like you are not particularly bright. I suspect it's the cast that the internet adds to things. Think of it this way. Let's say you sell something, hell I don't know . . . let's say motor oil. Now pretend like someone brings their motor oil which they have copied from yours, steps inside the doorway of your store and starts selling it. You seeing the point? I'll be honest . . . I doubt you are. But, mostly to entertain myself I had to try to explain. If you leave, enjoy the next forum you go to. The good news is that if you want reckless, anything goes, unethical, the internet has plenty. Via con Dios. |

Did the dood just say "If I get an 1125r, I will get flamed on this board, so I guess I better not own one"? What the F does flamed mean, and who the F cares what people say on the internet? |

There is no propaganda here I've read. There IS an amazing group of rider-owners that share their knowledge of the machines we ride. There ARE direct inputs from the factory, even Erik himself. There ARE respectable, ethical sponsors/vendors associated with this site. Blake has a one-of-a-kind thing here and I'm grateful for it. Don't mean to be mean, but piss off, Ducdood. Z |

Man did someone shake the trees, its raining squirrels!! Dood, a squirrel is one that buries nuts but forgets where they put them, spends a lot of time doing but really gets nothing done. I see a pattern here.... At the dealership I worked at a squirrel always new more than the techs but always needed help in the end. I usually keep to myself but I could not resist. Scott |
